Popular Post RockwellGers 7,669
I hope we are starting to see him flourish and have the impact that I personally think he is capable of. He still has to prove me right of course. In my opinion he showed a wide range of attributes last season. He had a few moments which turned games around, Hibs and especially Braga spring to mind. His attitude on the park seemed to show spirit, drive, heart, and even leadership. His interviews intelligent and focused, humble and inspirational (Ibrox baby!) This season hasn't gone as well for him. Some on here have referred to the flashes of ability he still clearly shows, I think that is there but clearly he hasn't quite been able to make it work yet. I can see things he tries but something in the timing or execution has been off a lot of the time. Still he seems to have vision and creativity. He's scored in the last 2 games (the winner against Hibs) and had a good impact on the attacking play. I might even be overlooking his contribution this season, If I had to sum it up I'd say it's always good to have his creativity on the park, he digs in and does some quality things, but his success rate for winning challenges his decision making is not all it should be. This might well be a psychological or confidence issue. He also gets booted around a fair bit, although he never gives up and in the end that attitude will see him come good in my view. He's pretty young and is still developing. He also has the weight of the Hagi name to bear🐻, so there are high expectations. I'm looking forward to seeing him fulfil his potential, and if that coincides with us winning the league title then it will just be an unbelievable, unforgettable time for him and obviously for all of us. EDIT: Just after writing this I saw that thread about his stats for the season, which are really good. So my point about maybe underestimating his contribution stands. jintybear, AlbertzLoyalRSC, Howsitgoing and 4 others like this
KingKirk 17,867
It says a lot for how things have been going for us that someone of his ability can't get a regular starting slot. Fantastic talent and I still can't believe we got him for around 3 million Straight-Edge-Loyal, MurrayWilson and One Jock Wallace like this

dougal72 2,183
Has been great the last couple of games , having guys like Hagi , Aribo and Itten so fresh going in to the second half of the season will be absolutely huge for us. Could well be the thing that gets us over the line. One Jock Wallace likes this
Popular Post Professor_Chang 344
We have at times the worst group of fans I know. About 2 months ago people were writing him off and now we are singing his praises. He is a young boy with massive potential. He is the type of player who will try passes etc that a few times wont come off but when the do you're getting a goal. At times I am thankful we arent in Ibrox at times because the abuse him and some players would be getting at times is shite. graeme_4 13,586
Read a thing before he signed that said he’ll infuriate Rangers fans because he gives the ball away more than anyone in the team, but that he does that because he’s always going for the game changing pass. Doesn’t play it safe and always tries to create. No point in drilling that out of him, because it’s his biggest quality. I’m not sure I ever see him as a nailed on starter for us, but a great asset in the squad. gmcf likes this

The Blues 210
Last couple of games he has looked like the player we thought we had signed. He did however deserved to be dropped earlier in the season as he wasn’t playing well. Hopefully this is the start of him maturing as a player and becoming more consistent. He has the potential to reach the very top.
JackAlex93 3,303
It's a shame when he is running he looks like he's towing a caravan. You can see he has the vision, close control and a footballing brain streets ahead of most in our team though. Think his best position is behind the striker in a sort of CAM role. Shows the strength in depth of our squad that he has hardly been given any game time this season.
Marco 609
Seems to be that classic luxury player complete with real quality and the vision to unlock stubborn/stacked defences. Fortunately, the core of the team is so strong defensively that we can afford such a player on the field - especially against teams that just want to sit in. Hopefully he pushes on and seizes his chance.
Popular Post The Godfather 48,463
He's 21, you are not going to get a 21 year old who performs brilliant every game at Rangers now... If they did they would be off to bigger leagues. What we have is a hugely talented young man who will have games where he doesn't play well but others where he makes the difference and entertains. Consistency comes with age and experience both of which he doesn't have a huge amount of at the minute. He's done very well considering all the factors over the past year. magic8ball, Bears, josmc and 5 others like this
stuart1994 1,322
I’m a big fan of his, the type of player he is there is going to be games where he doesn’t do much and pops up with a moment of brilliance to change the game. Obviously has bags of ability and can only get better.

Getstiffed 8,850
Like Kent he's not dissuaded by hard tackles. If he doesn't make it here it won't be from a lack of desire or commitment
LaaRFC 686
Been in great form but i can’t quite decide if I’d start him in the old firm. He does go quiet for spells in games and I dno if we can afford that. Rekon Kent and Roofe are stick ons to start so it’ll be either Hagi or Alfie taking the 3rd attacking spot. josmc 280
The only thing Hagi lacks is pace in my opinion. However, some of the greatest players in the world lack pace but still get the job done. He has 2 good feet and isn’t afraid to take a shot. He also has a great range of passes and his work rate can’t be argued with. We need to be patient with this boy because I think he will be a massive player for us. He will no doubt have further dips of form but in the long run he’ll be a goodun. Don Logan 2 likes this
