Just seen the STV news app sports section, Daily Record article and main picture Of Lennon putting a comforting arm around Griffiths as he’s coming off the park. The narrative is he responded to ‘abuse’ from fans and Lennon on full victim mode re ‘unsavoury’ things allegedly directed at him. Watch how this version of events is peddled now and if it wasn’t for Kris Boyd sticking his head above the parapet again the whole thing would have been swiftly glossed over.

Really interesting day or two coming up to see if  the (ott) bastions of morality will have the least concept of parity in their interpretation of this compared with Morelos gesture...

We all know it’s going to get glossed over ,It was only tape but there was aggression

We just need to see in recent times when Tav has a pie thrown at him ,it was initially reported as a banana, but since it was proved to be a pie that was ok ,Same with the racism aimed at Morelos ,that was toned down because they managed to manipulate his gesture into something completely different

No action taken.

I'm pretty convinced the scum know that they'll not get held to account for elbows so have made them just a standard action both on and off the ball.

Another incident that requires citied but won’t because of who they are

We all know how this plays out mate.  Griffiths will walk away with no charges and a pat on the back.

The usual clowns like sutton and hartson will show themselves for the hypocrites they are by defending him.

I await the hypocrisy meltdown 😂😂😂

I've always shared that sentiment....within reasonable boundaries.  But if you're booking and sending players of for running to supporters or making gestures to them you can't act on some and not on others.

Scum fans demanding Sky sack Boyd for quoting appearances and having a go at how few games thumb has played, saying it's out of order given thumbs mental health issues.

Facts not allowed to be expressed now either. Victimhood overload.

Some people are morons.

I believe Boyds family have been impacted by mental illness. Boyd has his own charity too. Boyd knows only too well the seriousness of mental health.

However people need to understand that having any form of illness or condition doesn't gives you a free pass for every action or decision you make for the rest of your life.  You can have mental health issues and still be a bit of a dick and make bad choices. They are two different things although mental health is obviously a complex matter, one of which some abuse.

All Boyd was saying that over the past 4/5 years or so he's played 30 odd leagues. A pretty damning stat. There may be mitigating circumstances but he was merely pointing out facts!

I know I’m late to this but even if Hartson was correct about his scoring record, the original tweet says “first since 98/99”. So even if he did do it in 96/97 it wouldn’t make a difference. Fud.

If Lennon feels the need to publicly come out and defend Griffiths then he must feel he potentially did something that could land him in bother.

Tbh, it was hardly an abusive retaliatory response but the OTT reaction to Morelos' gesture towards his own dugout means you cannot punish one and not the other. CW has to look at it but I think everyone, especially the media are getting a little bit carried away. There must be a title race occurring.

Asked the Taigs in work this morning if they think Griffiths should be banned for his actions last night...the deflectors were well and truly switched on. Mental health issues was their cry! Poor wee Leigh, the innocent victim in all of this. The guy’s a women abusing, cocaine snorting, bevvy swilling, money squandering racist. The Taigs can cry mental health issues all they want, but have they ever thought for a minute that maybe it’s not that and that the guy’s just a complete waster?

CW won’t  get involved ,think it was @sweethart ,who highlighted yesterday that the SFA changed the rules at the request of the SPFA that players can’t be charged for gestures to the fans retrospectively, that’s why they couldn’t do anything to Morelos as an individual or Kent either and have charged the club instead

Now I know he threw something in an aggressive manner but this will be interpretated as a gesture ,you can bet your last on that

They could charge him by bringing the game into disrepute but that would be a difficult charge to find him guilty on
