SFA have just put out a statement saying there will be no investigation Re Dubai. (Sky Sports News)

Not surprised.

But at the same time, the more investigations required into rule breaking then the more chance the season will be halted due to non compliance from clubs. And im not sure any of us want that - especially with the Euros in the summer which will make it harder to extend season.

That’s just so predictable but also blatant corruption.
The fact their fans think the SFA is against them is laughable

I honestly thought the SFA would go through the motions of having an investigation, didn’t think they would actually do anything about other than perhaps a verbal rebuke but never thought they would just totally ignore it considering the political attention it is getting.

Very good point mate.

SFA/SPFL was always going to use the tried and tested ignore it method and the media will give them the right sound bites for that. It’s been “government approved “ this and “government approved “ that.

Will the 1st minister be happy with that response, I’m not sure she might force them to have to act. It will obviously just result in a token fine etc anyway so probably not worth it.

Nobody is disputing their right to go. It's their behavior once they got there that needs investigation.

Correct, their trip (in very bad taste) may not break any rules technically, however as other clubs have been sanctioned by the football authorities for covid breaches of behaviour then it will be difficult not to extend some form of rebuke.
Again, this just highlights the power of having influence in editorial media positions. The narrative has given them an easy ride so far for this ridiculous trip with all of its issues...

killie an st mirren will cite the tramps outing at their hearing on the 14th and ask why they were fined and docked points for sitting too near to each other on the bus and in hotels, and at meals.

Me personally would like to take a moment to say to the aforementioned, and the sheep for that trip to the boozer which had 8 players involved, and to hibs who had no choice in this weekends fixture being moved to accomodate the mutants a big GIRFUY for rolling over to shite like this only a few short months ago when you voted to take it UTA. :mutley:

Really enjoy the idea of Kilmarnock and St. Mirren smacking the SFA over the head with their own hypocrisy re: the filth's little holiday.

Got a feeling the guts of the above (appeasement, as that what looking likely to happen given the no action on celtic statement) will be done behind closed doors and there will be some agreed release to the press to save face...

Their fans seem to think the Scottish Government is unhappy with them because they went to Dubai. Not at all.

The problem is that they have broken the SFA rules whilst they have been away.

Exactly mate. I cant see any punishment heading there way but I hope all the teams who have had punishment for less speak out.

Their fans seem to think we're angry that they had some rogue paedophiles at the club.

The problem is that their club found out and went onto, and continue to, cover it up for nearly 6 decades.

One size fits all when it comes to celtic!

Does Aberdeen not have a right to be pissed off too, they had a reduced 1st team due to circumstances that were not worse than what they have just done. Even our two, was that any worse than drinking in a public bar.
