And on the other hand, how any Rangers fan can sit there right now and comfortably say they don't think the authorities will do everything they can to defend the taigs....a few days ago they threatened a Hibs with a points deduction if they didn't play a match against the taigs who were likely riddled with covid...after earlier in the season handing out 3 points to other teams at the drop of a hat. Can call it self fulfilling prophecy or whatever but if you're sitting there comfortably thinking we'll get awarded the title if the season stops then you're a lot braver than me. We were one of only 2 leagues in Europe to declare champions last season. Anything is possible when everything they’ve done off the pitch has been a fuck up and the SFA president reads their own statement live in an interview and defends them. And right now I don't think we'll do that either. They put the lower leagues on a 3 week break, if anything happens it'll be the same for our league, its what happens afterwards when they try and sort the fixtures that's going to be the issue. Said it yesterday and someone else said it above, until we're at the same point as last season fixture wise (which is the middle/end of February) everything is on the table. This season isn’t the same, there are protocols in place now that weren’t there last season, we’re set up for football with no fans through virtual season tickets etc and there is a vaccine currently being rolled out and given to the most at risk to the virus, I agree the taigs will be upto every trick in the book as they’re shameless bastards and we’ve already seen they aren’t above using a pandemic to get what they want, but clubs are already under severe financial pressure it isn’t going to happen. Back last April there was no testing etc. Now football at elite level the world over has rigorous testing and procedures in place. There are no crowds. Nobody is disputing the protocols etc. Recent history has shown that the powers that be in this country will try every trick in the book to help one club, doing the exact opposite of the majority of leagues in Europe. That’s the worry, protocols etc aren’t. I’m not usually a paranoid wreck but they can’t win it on the park and couldn’t win it on the park last year so went to the boardroom. Let’s be honest they probably did win on the park last year, with the form we were in there’s no way we were turning it around infact it probably worked in our favour despite them getting the title as but not for covid Gerrard would be gone, if anything a precedent was set that if the league is stopped(it won’t be) then we would have to be awarded the title as we’re in a far stronger position than they were last season, let’s just win 55 on the park though, which we will.
