The Scottish government did change the rules regarding flights in from UAE but they only advise individuals who flew the same day as Duffy to isolate they aren’t enforcing it. Still a very bad look but think they will get off with it. “Zungu has been forced to self-isolate since arriving in Glasgow, Scotland because of his move from France. The French country has been one of the hardest hit Europeam countries in relation to corona virus infection cases. The United Kingdom forces anyone who is emigrating to Britain from a Corona virus hot-spot to self-isolate before starting with their official work duties.” Duffy travelled into London then to Brighton. 2 huge covid hotspots. Surely Sturgeon won't be happy he is travelling from an area with a higher covid rate than the rest of the UK? Make the SG aware of it in numbers and they'll have to look at it. He’s been through one round of tests, he’ll go through a second round before then returning to the bubble, which is normal protocol. Nothing unusual.” This definitely needs explained and answered though but it’s up to SFA to force that answers. I would find it very doubtful if they didn’t get the okay before playing him. Presume he has done his second round of tests and passed them but why did this Kennedy believe initially that the 2nd test wouldn’t be able to be done prior to the Hibs game? A negative test does not clear you to play a game if you have travelled outside the team bubble. See Zungu. Duffy was probably left off the track n trace submission due to leaving earlier but should still be included. Tarriers thought by not including him and him having a negative test clears him, it doesn't. Sweetheart and Colin Traive like this

At the very least it’s a PR disaster, not only did he do what you have just stated the government is advising the passenger he flew with to isolate for 10 days if they come in to Scotland. If only we had a media that would highlight these things. Sweetheart and esquire8 like this
Colin Traive 10,644
The Joey Barton comparison is interesting. I’ve always considered his performances up here to be the worst ever by a “big name” coming up here to show us how it’s done. But Duffy has surpassed that. If the facts didn’t confirm that he has indeed made a living playing football down south, I would swear he was, at best, a junior player. I have played in amateur leagues with players better than him. Can’t remember what kind of wages Barton was on but I’m pretty sure that we didn’t pay a £2m fee to borrow him. Brighton must be sore laughing at that. Of course it’s all good craic, sure he’s one of the bhoys and that pish republican mindset influenced the scum decision as much as his footballing “ability”. Part of the celtic family and all that shite. And he may yet have further gifts for us because I’m not convinced he was clear to play last night. Christie and Edouard both missed a game against us because of close contact during U21 international’s trips and had to self isolate on their return. Both players tested negative more than once but still had to miss out. Duffy was the same but they played him anyway. It will be so sweet if Duffy (and their arrogance) gets them in even deeper shit. Popular Post Raligt 1,142
Remember that Hibs asked selik to do further tests before the game which was refused by selik and SFA. Hibernian FC today reiterated it would do everything possible to ensure it meets its duty of care to all players and staff ahead of tonight’s fixture at Celtic Park. The club had asked the SPFL and Celtic to carry out an additional round of 'on the day' Covid 19 testing of Celtic players to provide an extra measure of assurance. We regarded this as a reasonable request – given the incubation period of the virus – but, unfortunately, our request was refused. The request followed 16 members of staff and players at Celtic being told to self-isolate on their return from an overseas training camp to Dubai after a positive result for one player, Christopher Jullien, who is long-term injured and whom we wish a speedy recovery. The SPFL made clear that not fulfilling the fixture would have severe consequences for Hibernian. The club also notes that we are being asked to fulfil this fixture less than two weeks from our Betfred Cup semi-final. We have been assured by the SPFL that any Covid 19 issues that may arise from fulfilling this fixture will be taken into account, and the semi-final postponed if required I hope that Hibs players do not test positive now with the virus but if they do, selik and the SFA need to get fucking hammered for this. They are putting players and families at risk of catching Covid due to pressure from the governing body which is extremely worrying. Complete disregard for player safety from both of them. graeme_4 12,813
A couple of people have mentioned Barton as the worst ever big name coming up here. I never thought he was that bad, and certainly not even in the same conversation as the bold Duffy. Had higher standards than Warburton and that’s why he was forced out.
