Spend a 1/4 mil on a piss up in Dubai during a pandemic, then have the taxpayer pick up part of your wage bill. Another day, another PR disaster 😃

Nothing ever changes. Even after all this time they're still fucking their young uns.

He tested within the 168-window and wasn't under any requirement to isolate.

Patterson was identified as a close contact of someone who tested positive and was required to isolate.

Duffy was allowed to play based on a negative test

Patterson wasn't allowed to play despite testing negative there is no difference

There is a difference. One was obliged under the law to self-isolate after being identified as a close-contact of someone who tested positive. A negative test doesn't supercede that. The other was under no requirement to self-isolate and only had to comply with the SFA/SPFL's testing protocols as a result.

What about the chances of Duffys name being conveniently not on the track and trace list provided by the tarriers? Don't understand how he can be pictured alongside all the players that have been named yet somehow avoided such himself.

Zero chance. Track and trace only covers the 48 hours prior to testing.

Not under the law as such but the government has advised the public who travelled the same journey he done to self-isolate for 10 days. Why so little has been made of that tells its own story.

Because the elite sports exemption covers it.

It’s good they can opt in and out of it with so little consideration. If all it takes is two negatives then why are the others that are currently self-isolating not just opting out of the bubble then back in?

Because they are legally required to self isolate. At no point was Duffy legally required to isolate.

I can understand that but at the same time the public he travelled with whilst outwith the sporting bubble were advised by the Scottish government to self-isolate for 10 days. Not enforceable but still should result in some negative headlines, you would of thought.

Players travel outside the 'sporting bubble' regularly. When Barisic travels to join the Croatian squad, hes outside the bubble.

If Barisic travelled back from a country who the Scottish government was advising that they self-isolate for 10 days do you think our club would ignore such advice and play him anyway?

How often does testing happen, and what are the rules around when tests are needed? Didn't know it was contact within 48 hrs of testing 👍

And are there any specific protocols around elite athletes bubbles?

Yes. The advice to self-isolate, generally, wouldn't cover our players. Our players would comply with the guidelines for elite sports rather than the general public.
