Anyone still wondering how Scottish football has become a joke needs to look at this ex spl chief.  His club are in a group with Dundee Utd,  Hamilton and Montrose in having to get government assistance and this twat thinks they should offer loans.

Money rich celtic to furlough their employees?

Thought they were mega rich?

Mega rich with £30 million debt I believe. I know that sounds mental but it’s what they tell everyone.

So how much are they needing to keep to pay the vicTIMS of the abuse scandal?

£30 million only covers half their wage bill and they'll no admit it but they must be shiting themselves with these court cases popping up.

I’m afraid not, the sun ran with the story. His hatred for us is obvious with his twitter account, current cunts running Scottish football probably will be akin to him.

celtic to put non playing staff through furlough government scheme. Staggering.

All their staff at the celtic shop are on zero hours contracts.  So much for their charitable, socialist outlook.

Chris Sutton in the Daylate Rhebel today saying Rangers “must prepare for pay cuts unless they think they are the richest club in the world” now makes sense.

He has been Hollicom’ed yet again.

And now celtic have started cost cutting he has moved on to having a dig at us for starting the season ticket renewals.

He should change his name by deedpoll to Chris Hollicom.

A Fenian placemat.

Tbh mate I don’t know why you take any notice of anything he does, imo he is a paid hypocrite who’s only task in life to stay relevant is controversy, usually aimed at us.
I think the coming weeks will see celtic struggle more then most due to their hugh wage bill, even if the players take a cut in wages. There is no prospect of CL football any time soon and the bottom will drop out of the player value market for them to offset by selling on assets. Things may get difficult for us but I think they will come out of this far worse...

They should get tarred with the same brush as PL Clubs for not having their playing staff take a cut before going to the Government.

Well you can bet they won’t be brought to task for this any time soon by our MSM...

Now you wouldn't expect taigs to put their mhanky hands into their own pocket 1st would ya? They recently claimed to have £24 mil in profits, why should the tax-payers fund them?

If there were to be any pay cuts to non playing staff (less the Manager, assistant, coaches, scouts ect), I would expect a 10% reduction in playing staffs (and those above) wages to make up the shortfall before considering going to the government.

Scumbags! All that cash (allegedly) and they have the audacity to use public funds. MSM spinning them as being charitable by topping the 80% up.

100% if that had been us, the headlines would be "Rangers force employees to take 80% wage cut!".

They could easily say to the playing staff to take a 10% cut and that would more than likely cover non playing staffs wages.

Tarrier scum!

An oirish club coming to the British Government for support, how ironic.

They blinked first! Alternatively they cloyed and grabbed for an advantage in their (secret financial state) to keep their woes as secret as the 2 yr super secret report into child abuse  of themselves, by themselves - still unpublished.  I agree with the consensus on this forum if/when we do the same we will be vilified.
