That cunt Stewart is trying to re-write the rule book  so that Hedges shouldn't be sent off....seriously you need to listen to this to believe it:lol:

Canny take him serious when he's sat there dressed as the milk tray man.

Good for Michael pity he’s a useless ginger nonce that nobody really gives a fuck what he says.

He said this situation isn't really covered in the rules.

Says in the rules a genuine attempt to challenge for the ball is a yellow, and ALL other circumstances denying a clear and obvious goal scoring chance are a red.

Almost like he doesn't understand the meaning of the word 'all'.

Exactly, it’s there in black and white for him to read.

It does seem very harsh as it was clearly accidental but that doesn’t make it an incorrect call

Letter of the law it's a red - but lad probably can count himself unfortunate as he absolutely had no intent to commit a foul.

However it is one of those ones - the ref has no real option. It is a foul, it is a stonewall penalty, it is a goal scoring opportunity and he hasn't tried to play the ball. The rule doesn't mention anywhere about intent to commit a foul - which I accept that Hedges had none.

However, the flip side is, when you run across a player in the box - you have to be careful.

Bang on mate. Tough shit for for the rules being applied properly.

Unlike his teammate who was very very fortunate to still be on the park.

Correct Jinty. Can the prick still get cited?

Well Alfie did after the DU incident so I don’t see why not. He’s not a protected celtic player so he might. I genuinely hope he does. If Barisic hadnt moved slightly that could have been even worse than it was.

Mad. It literally says it in black and white.

Thing is, we slate refs in this country but Beatons decision today was spot on and he even explained to Mcciness at half time. Should be praised for that.

Hope you had a good birthday after the nervy ending of the game. :UK:

The clipping of the heels does seem accidental, but at the same time he distracted himself by reaching at Morelos arm to try to put him off. So fuck him, got what he deserved, and as you say is in the rules.
