SFA punishments?????

the cry was no

Recommended Posts

Given that Jones and Edmundson were given 7 game bans for breaching Covid protocols (having been identified as doing so by the club), surely the tarrier players who are known and shown to have breached protocols at the pool and in the bar MUST be in line for similar bans??

ALL clubs should be asking what the punishments will be and why, so far, the SFA have decided to turn a blind eye.

The idea that there are no punishments is completely untenable

What we said at the time when the SFA banned our players

Rangers say they accept the seven-game bans handed to Jordan Jones and George Edmundson by the Scottish FA for Covid-19 related breaches.

The pair attended a party after their side's 1-0 Scottish Premiership win against Kilmarnock on 1 November.

Jones, 26, and Edmundson, 23, were charged by the SFA and suspended by Rangers pending an investigation.

The pair learned their punishment at an SFA hearing on Thursday.

Rangers say the length of the ban shows "the seriousness with which Covid protocol breaches will be dealt with".

"Football is in a privileged position and we recognise the responsibility that we all must uphold within the national sport," the club's statement added.

"The outcome of today's hearing brings the standard and expectations set by the Scottish FA into sharp focus."

Over to you SFA........we're all ears........

I've made a few quid off the tooth fairy eejay,

Under normal circumstances I'd agree with you view but these are far from normal circumstances and we need to get on the front foot. There's been more negative press for them in the last few weeks than the last 10 years.

Behind the scenes we should be pressing the SFA for answers and in public we should have our pundits (Boydy would be up for it I'd guess) relentlessly asking where's the punishment and naming those in the photos, suggesting the precedented 7 game bans and questioning wtf is going on.

Can you imagine the media and politician hysteria if this was us that had fucked up here ?

Front page, back page 12 Page pull out,  blanket condemnation from every corner, phone in specials and kangaroo courts would just about cover it.

Just listening to Sportsound.
Look at how poorly Hibs are being treated in all of this.
They have players, who likely have children, and they're being asked to put themselves and their families at risk.
Just to fulfill a fixture that was already postponed against their will.
For the powers-that-be to refuse a request from Hibs to test their opponents again.
It simply beggars belief.

HK saying that one Hibs player has refused to play and will confirm the name after the team is announced if true.

If true, the scum and the authorities want fucked for this. Not only fucking Hibs on getting this fixture postponed, but a player down because he doesn't want himself/family put at risk. Sporting integrity, right?! These corrupt bastards who run our game need ran out of dodge.

I hope Hibs shred these bastards tonight. If they lose then make a formal complaint to have tie forfieted and be awarded the points for being handicapped twice in being forced to play a fixture that compromised their health and safety, put them under stress and caused them to play a weakened side in losing a player that was no fault of their own.

In all honesty to have thirteen players sidelined because their own club broke the rules and the authorities decide no punishment, that the tie must be played, just how the fuck is that not short changing the fans and the competition as a spectacle and fair play just a joke.

The SPFL and SFA would already have launched an investigation, with strongly worded threatening statements .

No one can surely think any different

I think Boyd has been a bit of a twat to us in recent years. But the past 12 months he's becoming rapidly more likeable. Strong stuff tonight in condemnation of septic. Even whalker was raging over their behaviour to be fair
