doc holliday 1,653
It was always a stick on certainty that the St Mirren and Kilmarnock decisions would be revoked or rancid Timmy would be punished and the Puppetmaster would never let that happen. Spineless shower running our game under the much too powerful influence of the Eastend Scumbags.

The request was not an exceptional circumstance or valid reason as no winter break was the rule and if all were to be treated equally they would have to give approval to all, but I can't see it, middle of a pandemic and all. Imo they were given special treatment as ever. As esquire8 points out they didn't break any rules in the context of the moved game so that is a red herring here. Our friends Doncaster and Maxwell have both gone on record to confirm that they did nothing wrong which is true with regard to the fixture move so therefor creating a winter break for themselves when there was NO WINTER BREAK, was within the rules if not the spirit of the game which will leave many shocked and stunned given the scum's love of sporting integrity. Where the "done nothing wrong" argument disintegrates is when it is viewed in the context of the Covid protocols as established by the JRG and the government. Now hotels are only to be utilised where ESSENTIAL and this is where the government have repeatedly stated that they simply confirmed the criteria when requested but left the big OK part to the football authorities. This is where Doncaster and Maxwell become their old evasive selves with both saying that the permission was given by the government. Someone's lying and this should be pursued by our brave mhedia. But of even greater concern and importance is the fact that, having breached the JRG protocols by even going on an NON-ESSENTIAL trip overseas (the club would/should be on the hook for this) once they were there several players and the manager then breached the agreed protocols at a poolside and a hotel bar and we are still awaiting the citations (almost 2 weeks after the events) and players will be returning to training on Monday to prepare for a midweek fixture when they should be serving 7 game bans for breaching these protocols as other players (Jones and Edmundson) have. NOT FACING ANY BANS WOULD 100% GIVE THESE ARSEHOLES AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE
Canabear 4,558
One Question here that should be asked. If the SPFL have said that they never okayed them to go to Dubai why would they allow them to move a game to accommodate the trip?

There is an open investigation ongoing ,but as we see all the sound bites are to deflect from the real issues . The trip was approved ,so no rules were broken ,let’s move on . When in reality it’s been mentioned from Sturgeon that approval was granted to a different country and the agreed protocols were broken on a number of occasions . Coming back the fall out has affected the Scottish cup and lower league football .but no heads will roll .
Sweetheart 8,458
Could Lawwell have signed it off. All he would have to do is change hats whilst he did the paperwork?

Interesting theory and would show a real conflict of interest if proven, although I would imagine a committee of sorts would have the rubber stamp. What is certain is that somebody has interpreted the spirit of the rules to suit and every attempt to save face has been a spectacular failure. Doesnt matter if it was signed off or not ,Basic social distancing rules were clearly broken and they are not being held accountable .The we broke no rules the government approved the trip let’s move on is being played out . We are supposed to forget that the rules were broken and not just the taigs are suffering through requirements to isolate ,the whole of the lower leagues have been screwed over ,offered up as a sacrifice to keep games being played . 7 game bans ain’t happening .Reason being they taigs ain’t admitting to any breaches ,Meanwhile as soon as we found out about our party boys we took action and advised the authorities.Rules were broken on both occasions but only one seems to matter as only one was officially reported the other ignored . Governance is a joke . The government's liaison person for the JRG was Joe Fitzpatrick, trust me wee Joe would not have been difficult to deal with for Liewell. Conveniently enough Joe, one of the SNP's less effective chocolate fire guards, had to resign (take the hit really) as Minister for Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing due to the drugs death record that was 13 years in the making, 5 of which featured his boss as Health Secretary. So wee Joe has left the building and obviously can't be contacted anymore to as if he knew or signed off anything. Also conveniently enough and, I fear, about to become an "unfortunate turn of events outwith our control" the CO is leaving the building and there is no replacement (no really, think that through, NO CO ffs). I'd assume that wee Claire has been so busy clearing her desk and taking down her 9 in a row flag and Broonie posters that she's not had a chance to even have a butcher's at French Eddy's stamp, never mind look at some holiday pics from Dubai.
