Ange Postecoglou to celtic could take WEEKS as Uefa confirm Aussie doesn’t have required Pro License coaching badge

UEFA have revealed it could take WEEKS for Ange Postecoglou to get the green light to boss celtic.
Europe’s governing body confirmed the Aussie doesn’t have the required Pro License coaching badge.

celtic have now appealed — arguing Postecoglou’s 25 years’ experience should see him granted an exemption. But a Uefa spokesperson revealed it could be a lengthy process, leaving the Yokohama F Marinos boss in limbo. A Uefa spokesperson said: “Mr Postecoglou does not currently hold the Uefa Pro Licence.
“A recognition of competence procedure has been initiated. The process could take several weeks. We don’t have any further information to provide at this stage.”

Postecoglou started out in management in 1996 and spent four years in charge of Australia from 2013-17.

It's almost 100 days since Neil Lennon left celtic
His only European coaching gig was for Greek minnows Panachaiki in 2008, but Uefa have now tightened rules. celtic remain confident he will be allowed to take over as boss, probably on the proviso he starts his Pro License. It’s understood talks with Marinos have progressed well this week and compensation won’t be an issue.

But Celts could face a nervy wait to get a deal over the line, with the Hoops squad due back for pre-season on June 17. It’s now almost 100 days since Neil Lennon left the club.

Kennedy and Strachan could be asked to lead celtic training
Coaches John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan remain on the Parkhead payroll and could be asked to lead training.
Postecoglou took Marinos’ session in Yokohama on Wednesday ahead of the weekend clash with Consadole Sapporo.

If he gets the go-ahead to travel to Scotland to finalise a deal, he will need to quarantine for ten days. And that would leave him facing a race against time to be in place for the first day of pre-season at Lennoxtown.

😂😂😂😂

So Ange doesn't have a pro license after all. I guess they didn't ask pertinent questions during the advanced talks??

What's worse is they have appealed. They think they are above the law/rules and it is this arrogance that got them in this mess to begin with.

🍿 sitting back and watching this is beautiful.

Them appealing confirms he will be the new boss but probably won't be in place to start pre season absolutely crazy 😂

Be interesting to know on what grounds they have appealed.  He needs a licence - he hasn't got one.

Rules are rules - they are quick enough to point them out and have them enforced when someone plays an illegible player.

Anti catholic discrimination.

UEFA have a process where other experience can be recognised in lieu of the required qualifications.

Hope Legia Warsaw find out about them appealling.
Would you interview some cunt to fly a plane and not ask "have you got a licence btw"

Looking like this is never going to end for this lot and it just gets funnier by the day.
