We had been stung with the Daniel Prodan transfer, never kicked a ball for us. Seb Rosenthal was another big signing that was injury prone and only made a handful of appearances over two years. Think the medical staff went over cautious after that, knocked Hartson back only for him to sign for them the following year. .

Something that often gets forgotten about the big fud.

Not only did he fail a medical ,he went back to Wimbledon where he then failed another medical ,he was worth 6m at the time .They paid him off and he was effectively out the game .

Cant remember how long but it was a few months .Coventry took a punt on him on a free ,pay as you play deal .He scored a good few goals and retained fitness ,signed a deal and soon after signed for the taigs for 6m .
