shaka 1,669 Posted January 23, 2021 Share Posted January 23, 2021 Jack is our best midfielder, brings so much energy and drive to the midfield. He's always looking to get the ball moving forward. Our best midfield has to be Jack, Kamara and Aribo. Great to have Arfield, Zungu and Davis as back ups though and shows just how strong we are in midfield right now. Davis has been sensational all season. After the break last year, he probably had the biggest dip in form in the squad. He looked like he was a busted flush - like Brown this season. I think we should have at least one more attacking midfielder in there so either Aribo or Arfield need to play so we have someone able to get up to support the forwards. Arfield is good at getting beyond the forwards but I think Aribo when he's on form like today is just brilliant at gliding past defenders to create chances. We face a lot of packed defences and players like Kent and Aribo are brilliant at dribbling past defenders creating space for themselves and others. One of Davis, Kamara or Jack would need to make way and personally Kamara and Jack cover a lot more ground defensively which allows our full backs to push up and attackers to be more creative without worrying as much about defensive cover and teams counter attacking when our full backs are in the attacking half.
