He had a wee toe kicking the ground affectation I copied. Fascinated by McMinn's arm oot style and found him exciting. Thought Bartram was a smashing big player with a great shot. They had strength, confidence, fitness and more importantly stature, that's what it took to be a Rangers player,and even Tommy McLean seemed like a giant. (Young 'uns...you can look away now) I remember scoring 3 penalties out of 3 against Alan Rough (from the 18 yard line) when he was Scotland keeper at a charity gig there. At the time, I was wearing 4 inch brown 'platform' shoes, blue 'parallel' trousers and a black jacket (I know, I know) ....and my mother had her picture taken with Derek Batey of 'Mr & Mrs' fame. I think it was 1976 mate....... the worst of it was that my brother dropped the film with my mums pictures with Derek Batey down the back of his Mk1 brown Ford Escort rear seat and she never saw the real photos.
