Slavia fan here. I have to say I am surprised how many delicate flowers and snowflakes seem to be among the fans of the mighty Rangers... Some of the sensitive reactions from Rangers fans here and elsewhere to Slavia players celebrating the draw... wow! You lot seem easily offended by nothing. The reason that Slavia players (and fans as well) are very pleased with the draw is a combination of various factors, none of them disrespectful: we're playing a traditional club with lots of history, a legendary player is in charge of the club and they are playable. Rangers are favourites and Slavia is aware of that, but we certainly fancy our chances in comparison to playing the likes of Milan. At the same time, Rangers are a much more attractive opponent than some of the other playable teams left in the competition, like Young Boys Bern or Molde.

Some of the comments underestimating Slavia are really misplaced. This club - under the same manager - eliminated serial EL winners Sevilla from this competition in 2018/19, putting six goals past them, scored 3 at Stamford Bridge in the quarterfinals, and Sarri said after the finals win against Arsenal that Slavia had been the hardest opponent they faced in the entire EL campaign that year. In the CL last year, they were up 1-0 against Inter away from home until the 91st minute to draw 1-1 in a game they should have won, were the first team in 3 years not to concede away from home at Barcelona and were competitive in every game they played. But we like to be underestimated - that sort of attitude towards Slavia does not always work out for opponents. I have the utmost respect for Rangers as a club, although comments from Rangers fans here like "Tbf if i was a shitey czech football club, and i just got the news I was going to play the famous Glasgow Rangers, id likely cheer too" make me want Slavia to win even more.

Your English is excellent for an oirishman

What happened to you between 2012 and 2020, you vanished?

Always on the forum but just don't really post.

Anyways happy with the draw.  Confident we can progress if we repeat how we played last round.

Dates confirmed as the 11th and 18th of March. So with any luck we'll have the league wrapped up this weekend (big ask since it requires celtic to drop points) but also its a week prep between legs, keeps us going with strong opposition and fills in the space between league matches.

The week starting the 15th could see us in the Quarter finals of thr Europa AND League champions, can think of worse weeks :pipe:

No saying it's impossible but since lennon left it's kinda up in the air with what that team's attitude is going to be, Chances are, based on the aberdeen game, there's every possibility they'll drop points (since it took a deflected goal and its aberdeen end of the day) if Dundee show up like they did against us at Ibrox then they could which is what im hoping for.

Czech hospitals are bursting to the limits with COVID. Wonder if our game will be getting moved.

Can't see how it gets better between now and the game, leagues still going just now though so as it stands it goes ahead.

If we get by Slavia the draw for the quarters and semifinal are at the same time. I see a Rangers v man ure final

Daft question, but the quarter finals are the last ones player over two legs right? The semi and final are both just one off games

Can you imaging SG sitting at a press conference at the end of April saying ‘ they said we had a hard January but we got through it’.

They also said we had a hard February and we got through that as well.

They then said we had a hard March and April but we got through that as well and now we have a Europa Cup final to get through next week 😬🤞🍾💙

man what a season this would be

Over the last leg he contributed to 8 of the 9 goals through scoring, assisting and getting penalties.

The lad thrives in Europe and could take us all the way.

I often look at some of our players and goals and think .What would we say if we were up against that .

That Kent goal the other night ,Half of us would be amazed the the other half ripping the defence to shreds .

Same goes with players ,Imagine we were playing Slavia and they had a Morelos 😳

Aye, some classy individual players who contribute to some great team goals.

We are one of the most attacking teams left in the competition. I am confident that we will surpass last seasons run. Especially if Tavs and Roofe manage to get fit and stay that way.
