Colin Traive 22,723
One of my all time favourite movies for a number of reasons but it seems to echo even louder with me this morning. I often think about Andy DuFresne and what he went through in that film. He suffered terrible injustice and those in power, instead of seeking truth, conspired to keep him down. He was “the man who crawled through 500 yards of shit and came out clean” They thought he was under their heel but they were arrogant and they underestimated him. In the end, despite years of injustice, he triumphed. Our “500 yards of shit” is behind us and, today, we all know just how he felt in that picture.
