More likely they say they had to do it in order to have "any" chance of hosting the shite Euros, when thanks to the Scottish Gov, it will probably fall on its arse anyway. Not that I care.

Yes anything is possible with these shitebags. :smokingcowboy:

Keith Jackson utter shite

Scottish football authorities have been ordered to attend crisis talks with the Government as fears grow rival fans may smash the lockdown rules at the upcoming Old Firm showdown.

Record Sport can reveal the Hampden top brass Ian Maxwell and Neil Doncaster were asked to hold an urgent video conference call with minister for public health, sport and wellbeing Mairi Gougeon to discuss the scenes in Glasgow on Sunday night when thousand of Rangers fans took to the streets to celebrate the club’s first top flight title in ten years.

Images of the mass gatherings prompted a stinging rebuke from deputy First Minister John Swinney at yesterday’s daily coronavirus briefing as well as a warning that clubs and football’s governing bodies will have to satisfy Holyrood that no breaches will be repeated between now and the end of the current campaign.

Swinney stopped short of threatening to pull the plug on what is left of the season but stressed that he could ‘rule nothing out’ as he slammed Rangers for failing to demand that their supporters dispersed from outside Ibrox and the city’s George Square. And his blast was followed up by Gougeon who contacted SFA chief executive Maxwell and his SPFL counterpart Doncaster to discuss what action can be taken in order to prevent more supporters risking public health by turning up in big numbers as the season reaches a climax behind closed doors. Maxwell could even come under pressure to make an example of Rangers by throwing the disciplinary book at them ahead of the derby showdown at Parkhead a week on Sunday. It’s understood the government, cops and health officials are worried that fans of both sides could descend on the outskirts of the stadium with the potential for serious public order concerns. celtic supporters have already been criticised for protesting in the celtic Park car park earlier this season as the club’s quest to win a historic ten successive titles began to hit the buffers.

And Swinney doubled down on the other side of the city when he opened up the daily briefing with a blast at Rangers condemning the scenes as a ‘disgrace’ and ‘shameful’.

Swinney went on to say: “We are going to engage once again with clubs about their obligations to support the wider messaging that’s in place to enforce what is the law in the country about staying at home and avoiding crowded places.

“So we’ll engage with the clubs, the football authorities and also police Scotland on all of these questions to ensure that everyone plays their part in trying to avoid situations of this type.

“There are a number of different landmark events that come up in the football calendar in the next few weeks and we’ve got to be satisfied we don’t run the risk of a repeat of what we saw at the weekend

We’ll be engaged in those discussions and if there is a need for further action to be taken the government will obviously consider that. I’m certainly not going to rule anything out today.

“But we have made some special measures to try to ensure that football can take its course It’s a matter of real regret that we’re here once again having to discuss examples where the behaviour in and around football has not helped us in our efforts to control the virus.”

Swinney also attacked the Ibrox hierarchy for failing to act when the crowds began to gather adding: “The silence from Rangers was deafening and that is a matter of profound regret.”

Rangers hit back by issuing a statement in which they highlighted repeated requests from manager Steven Gerrard for fans to celebrate safely at home.

It read: “We reiterate the message from our manager, Steven Gerrard, who highlighted that fans should adhere to government guidelines – stay safe, socially distance and look after each other in this difficult time.

We are aware there is the possibility of more, significant milestones within this season, and we will continue to proactively engage with key stakeholders to maintain a cohesive message in relation to government guidance at this present time.

“We look forward to further open dialogue with the Government, police, SPFL and other key stakeholders.”

This country is full of hate filled wankstains.

The hurt is glorious.

I live a good life (simple at the moment the same for most of us) but its still a good life. It has been made all the better for this marvellous victory.

It’s marginally irritating/laughable that the bigots in Scottish Government tried to piss on our strawberries it was expected as just like the team they covet they are graceless in defeat as they are in victory.

The press again its fully expected and nothing to get remotely upset about, a piss poor wordsmith dreaming he could bring up null and void after a well deserved league has been won. He will not be the last, they think they are so important that they can change policies from the SFA, UEFA, (fuckit why not) FIFA via the Scottish Govt.

All I can assume of these graceless losers is that to have that much bile they must be pissing on their own strawberries before consumption to give them the bitterness to cry foul at everything we do or didn’t do.

The SNP and Scottish media could be a game of Cluedo, but it would be the worst game in the world the denouement would always be “It was Rangers on the beach with the sandcastle”

GCC posting the details of the benches for "contact details" couldn't be any more transparent if they tried. I'm not condoning what happened but come on, the Netherlands Ambassador? I'm sure it's not fucking hard to work that one out. For nothing other than effect.

I mean Glasgow city council showed much less of a concern of a clear security breach of their building when some tramp managed to get on their roof and put a champions flag on top of their building in the aftermath of Celtic being gifted last seasons title

Susan Aitken is probably typing out these tweets under a constant flow of unstoppable tears . Hope it hurts ya corrupt mess

The people of Scotland voted for an SNP government. They wanted decisive leadership. Weren't they fooled.
Between Aitken at GCC and Swinney in Holyrood they're f**ked. Anticipating leadership actions among this mob is zero.
They find it easier to deflect from a leadership decision and blame someone else for the problem. It couldn't be their fault that they did not issue instructions before highly anticipated gatherings of Scottish citizens. It could not be their fault that they did not instruct Police Scotland to prevent such gatherings.
Not a chance, it's easier to blame Rangers for not issuing instructions to people over whom they have no legal control.
F U Swinney and F U Aitken at least Police Scotland recognised that the inevitable would happen and all they had to do was be responsible about their duties. Not one arrest on Saturday or Sunday.
WATP.
