BBC Scotland keen to find a resolution

LISTENERS to BBC Scotland yesterday were able to tune into a rare interview by a current Rangers player.

As a segment of their flagship daily radio football show, BBC Sportsound aired an interview with Gers star Steven Davis which was conducted by BBC Northern Ireland.

The Ibrox side and BBC Scotland have been locked in a dispute for years, which crystallised around the revoking of Rangers press rights for the corporation's senior football reporter Chris McLaughlin.

BBC Scotland has since stood in solidarity with their reporter by refusing to send staff to Ibrox and SunSport understands that despite the interview there is no change in the impasse.

However, a BBC Scotland spokesman said that they had run the interview as part of the station's "coverage of the team's title success" and added that they "are keen to find a resolution to the long standing dispute".

Their statement read: "Sportsound broadcast a clip of an interview with Steven Davis on BBC Northern Ireland as part of our coverage of the team’s title success.

Just watched ‘Debate night’ on the BBC, audience from Dundee, what a loaded and biased one sided lot of nonsense. Surprise surprise ‘Rangers should be sanctioned over the title celebration at the weekend’. If ever you know anyone needing their windows licked look up the iPlayer for the panel members and on line audience member ‘bar one token bluenose who to his credit did get the 55 in’...

The resolution is pretty fucking simple.

They can send a reporter to cover the stories, as long as it isnt Chris McLaughlin.

As far as I am aware, we have never banned the BBC, they just choose not to attend.

The resolution for them is pretty simple, they choose to attend.

Aye, it's them who have made the decision to stand in solidarity which Mclaughlin which is their prerogative but they can't then twist it like its the Club being unreasonable

McLaughlin's no welcome, deal with it

Imagine having to go to your Nothern Ireland sister station to get an interview with a player who's club play in your nation. Fucking embarrassing stuff. Still wonder why the BBC bosses in England aren't raging with them.

They want to find a resolution? As far as we all know the club have no resolution to solve with BBC Scotland. Their biased reporter had his press privileges removed. That's it. They cunts are the ones in a huff, not us.

As far as I'm concerned Gollum can keep his little bit of grass across the road. If BBC Scotland want to apologise publically to the club for their self-indulgent vendetta then that will be welcomed and a line can be drawn under it. But Gollum should never have his privileges back.

Could drop a nuclear bomb on the shitehole and it would look exactly the same as it does now. Inbred bastards already look like they've been mutated.
