We’ve just been beaten by a more well drilled team. Roofe was stupid, Balogun even more so, but I don’t think we were winning this tonight at any point. This lot are a very decent team and while I’m annoyed and gutted we’re not progressing I’m proud of the boys for getting as far as they have.

If you’d offered any of us these outcomes at the start of the season we’d have bitten your hand off, time to focus on the Scottish Cup now and progressing from this.

Gerrard and Beale need to go look at how we adapt to this style of play because other teams will take notice of this tonight.

Wouldn't say Roofe was stupid, was a genuine attempt to get the ball but never seen the keeper coming.

They were well drilled but nothing special, think it’s a massive missed chance tbh.

Yep completely agree, at least against Leverkusen you knew from the off they were a class above. This mob were tactically disciplined and cynical and we just didn't show up at all over the two legs. They were also probably the most dislikeable side we've faced, so must have been frustrating as hell to play against, but that's what we're gong to be up against in the champions league. Think there's question marks still over a few players at the next level, but I'm sure the management team know what recruitment they need to focus on this summer.

Can't see anything else that would have had Goldson reacting the way he did to something that wasn't said to him.

Just waiting to hear what the manager says

The fact he covered his mouth before saying something but is dirty bastard behaviour.

No. We’re guilty of overthinking simple things.

Hagi is a good spark and played well over there, Helander done fuck all wrong to get dropped. We didn’t need to tinker with it tonight and we did

Their had to be an issue with Helander, I think a slight groin problem....clearly we chose not to risk him at any stage.....Balogun should have been subbed b4 he got the chance to get sent off...the fact Simpson came on tells a story also

A quality, forwad-thinking midfielder is needed but then again every team in the world is looking for that.

Too much credit been given to Slava. Roofe's sending off was the difference in a game still very much in the balance at that time.

If we had beat Leicester we would have crowned ourselves world champions, so no shame in going out. But nagging doubt about what would have happened if we had 11 on the pitch.

agreed how many times have we came back from a goal down makes it much harder

They're a good side.

They get under the opposition skin and it leads to mistakes. They beat Leicester in the exact same way by making them feel uncomfortable.

We're a fantastic side in Europe, let's not be too rash here.

Absolutely agree bud, we need to cuter in Europe, the Refs fall for it every time, Alfie gets it, you can see him doing it but we play the British game against teams who will use every trick in the book for a win.

Slavia are a ckass above anythingcweve met this season.  Just a step too far . . . for now .

At our best, and with Jack and Tavernier, we would have beaten them, no doubt imo.

Hope we never have to dive, scream and cheat (as they did in both games) to go further in Europe.

Real pondlife, these cunts.

Nothing “cute” about it ffs.

Their definitely not a class above, just a well organised team

jack, tav , Helander in we would have won that

Aye , Jack was a big miss , this would have been his kind of game . I thought before the game Balogun was a good pick but he ended up having a nightmare . The only positive was Patterson's which helped negate Tav to an extent .

Not the most ethical chaps this Prague lot.  But you are right, at our best with Jack and Tav we may well be through.

But we got as far as Spurs and further than Leicester so we are not far off being top half of the EPL.

aribo isnt at this class seriously :headwall: hope your pip money comes through because you obviously need it

Scored a good goal against Braga but happy for you to state when he’s played well in Europe or even tougher games in Scotland.

Signed as a midfielder but now he’s to be played in front 3 because he can’t play in midfield.

Hamilton, Ross County and St Mirren at Ibrox are his level.

Wouldn't get too carried away with Slavia Prague - up until Roofe sending off we're still well in it. We didn't create much, but neither did they. They were well orgsnised, strong and kept the ball well but certainly beatable. Midfield is certainly an area we need to strengthen.
