Second Slavia Statement

The firm commitment to fight racism, xenophobia and all forms of hatred is one of the pillars of Slavia football policy. Any form of racial discrimination is contrary to our values and principles and we shall never tolerate such conduct.

We believe that all people must be free and equal with their rights and dignity. Slavia strictly abides by the policy against racism display as put down by the organization FARE Football Against Racism Policy in Europe.

We are a club where all enjoy fair chance regardless of their race, colour, religion or beliefs. We build on the fair play ideal that has been an inherent part of the club since its establishment. The modern Slavia is a fully multicultural team and even our hardcore fans wear jerseys of all players without exceptions.

The second leg of the Round of 16 of the Europa League between Slavia and Rangers FC was supposed to be a celebration of football as such. Our players faced excessively heavy-handed behaviour instead. Rangers FC injured Slavia goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář with a reckless tackle and other players were lucky not to be injured. Anyone who watched the game has surely formed their own opinion.

Ondřej Kúdela is one of the team captains elected in secret polls by the players who choose characters that enjoy their trust. He is a decent and modest person with a strong moral integrity, popular amongst the players and fans, a football gentleman. He categorically denies and refutes any allegations of racism.

We are shocked that his reputation and the club’s reputation are being smeared without a single piece of evidence. The only “alleged” evidence is the player covering his mouth – which Ondřej does on a regular basis when he talks to his teammates during our games.

Under the patronage and in the presence of the UEFA delegation, the coaches of both teams, Ondřej Kúdela and Glen Kamara met. After the arrival of Slavia representatives, Ondřej was physically abused by the player of Rangers FC who then fled into the locker rooms followed by the manager Steven Gerrard without a single word of apology. The incident is thoroughly described in the match protocol and Slavia will consider filing a criminal complaint after their return to the Czech Republic.

The movement of Slavia players and management was unprecedentedly restricted after the game. The players and staff were protected by the Czech Embassy in London and local police. We would like to express our gratitude for their professionalism.

We have felt a great respect to Rangers FC for their recent football performance and glorious history. However, we wish for a UEFA investigation into all incidents related to the recent match and will fully cooperate.

Cowards.

My fear is nothing will be done because it's basically our word against theirs.

Can already see UEFA giving us a punishment for the tunnel incident and they'll get off with nothing.

I can see something similar happening but to be as objective as I can its a pretty difficult one for UEFA to deal with

I think everyone who watched it, especially those who know what Kamara is like, know that something racist was said, but it will be very difficult for UEFA to prove that

And to be completely honest I think it would be a bad precedent to set by banning a player or a team over an accusation that can't be proven.

Fingers crossed something comes out that can prove it. Or hopefully their players who heard it will do the right thing but I can't see that happening

Are these arseholes for real!

Last time I checked Kamara wasn't a team mate of this racist prick :headwall:

They must be shitting it from uefa, some amount of defence and justification (lies) being released very quickly

Its a guilty party that never shuts up.

With a "prove it" thrown in for good measure.

They have zero class. Best thing we can do is say no more and go out on Sunday and put 5 or 6 past the taigs.

Such shameless cunts

So basically is Slavia policy be racist towards opponents if one of their players gets injured.

In a matter of minutes ive went from wishing them all the best to absolutely hating the cunts

Exactly. Roofe’s challenge was a shocker and he deserved to be sent off. I feel for their keeper but Roofe has already been punished and arguably his actions cost us the game. This is completely different from racially abusing players, getting away with it during the game, lying about it and trying to deflect from your own behaviour.

Rangers should just release a statement saying they stand behind our players and against racism and that they condemn any clubs who defend it and are leaving it in UEFAs hands

Let Slavia dig themselves deeper with their petty scummy shite

We already done that about 5 hours ago didn't we?

Police Scotland already confirmed they had zero interaction from either side and fuck all happened in the tunnel.

Lies upon lies upon lies.

Throw them out, ban them indefinitely and fine them for every single penny earned from the competition this year.

Does this lie from Slavia not constitute bringing the game into disrepute?

Still no sign of of Slavia launching an investigation, even if just to be seen to be doing the right thing. Throw them out of the competition. They don't get it. Make them get it.

This video is being retweeted around and their president apparently retweeted it aswell.

Their overall opinion is the guy is lovely and everyone likes him so it didn’t happen
