'With our appointed brand protection partners and in close cooperation with Castore, Rangers will apply a zero-tolerance approach to breaches of our IP and take all necessary legal measures, including removing club privileges and tickets where required.'

Think that's a bit worrying tbh. Every RSC in the country will have merchandise with Rangers IP on it. That's not done to rip Rangers off in any way. Same with custom made 55 flags etc.

By all means go after the guys outside Ibrox and fake Turkey tops.

Also a bit shite if they go after EOS and Copland Streetwear. There's a demand for that sort of thing amongst the support and Rangers don't produce that sort of thing for fans to buy.

Yeah I can see why the club is doing this and I’m all for protecting our brand when it comes to fake Chinese versions of the current kits etc but they do risk taking it too far and going after the wrong people as you said

With people like Copland Streetwear I can’t any reason see why the club can’t make a deal with them to take a cut if it isn’t something the club want to be selling themselves as like you said there’s a market for it

That's fine, lion brand as well.

Im not actually sure that Lion Brand shit would fall under it.

Its aimed at Rangers fans obviously, but did they not have their own logo and didnt really use any Rangers IP if I remember correctly.

Is it even still going after we got shot of Ashley? No doubt some cunt would want to make some cash off the blue pound.

There will be zero court cases out of this.

As for those who informed the club about the gear - bunch eh grassing bastards.....

they might be grasses but surely you would want the club to profit from this and not some chancers trying to make a quick profit off our success? if supporter's clubs want to keep selling stuff they should be talking to the SLO but for cunts who are making cheap fakes to line their own pockets then the club is within their rights to go after them and shut them down.

They'd get out of it saying it doesn't use official badges and logos but come on to fuck, it's clearly associated to the club and its history.

There are companies making fire pits with the badge on them, are the club going to issue cease and desist orders to them but let lion brand keep taking the piss?

I agree with you, but IP shit is messy.

It should be cut and shut, but they have been sly enough to not actually reference anything directly related to Rangers.

I get the fake strips and Castore stuff the club should be clamping down on that.

However other people that use our badge make some nice stuff. People buy it not to deny the club money but because they’ve seen a product they like.

Surely it’s a good thing exposing the club badge then people might be tempted to go on the official site to buy stuff.

if they want real brand protection they should maybe look at some of the people they've brought into the club. Particularly those with the initials CH or GM.

hiring a blazer chaser who runs around with a rat mask on and acts the cunt to a wee teenage lassie just trying to do her job in a sports shop for some paparazzi pics is more detrimental to the brand than some cunt in turkey selling a shite top that only a clown would buy.

Lets not even start with the SLO's family wanting rangers fans turned over to the polis and this gem;

Robert Marshall is a cunt faced old bastard and his boy is a sly sleekit rat.

Is the gimp Craig Houston still associated with the club in any way?

What about that paragon of virtue Chris Graham, is he still getting a wage from the club or from someone associated with the club?  Is he still pulling the strings at Club 1872?

We need to cleanse these people from the club.

Craig Houston is listed as an 'advisor' on a salary of £450k a year.

This part from that link ..... fucking outrageous.

"Along with the general dissatisfaction we felt when meeting with the SLO, we now have the situation where his father in recent days, has been posting on the Louden Bar Facebook page requesting members for a new supporters club he has set up, he outlined his idea that if he could get around 2000 people signed up to the CCS, even if they had no intention of attending away games this would allow him to get access to cat +a ticket allocations, as a sweetener for signing up he would also give preferential access to events being held in the bar."

"Sons of Struth aim to provide top class training to kids playing football and donate to Rangers Youth via Rangers Lotto. We support Rangers Charity Foundation . through donations, fund raising and providing volunteers".

Does this mean you buy their shite and they buy scratchcards and play lotto to try and win more money for themselves? or do they donate it directly to Rangers Youth? they should have worded this better.

Aye it's shocking. Why not put that money towards safe standing or something that actually benefits the club.

Seriously though, does anyone know if he takes a wage from the club or if it's just a token position for his past (shite) efforts?

He is on a salary £450k per annum. What his position as 'advisor' entails, I don't know.
