Disgusted to read that about Katic. Let’s hope he doesn’t get drug tested.

We missed Jack massively in both games against Slavia Prague.

Fingers crossed this solves the issue once and for all. So good for us when on form.

I do not think he has been missed all that much and results might reflect that we are more effective without him. Our transitions are far more potent without him slowing things down and defensively we have been secure as the figures show. He has no sell on value so he could be the Zungu replacing Davis or Kamara late in games.

On the cusp of an undefeated league campaign, 100 points, beat them in 3 games and he's played just under 14 full matches for us.

Hasn't been missed and we need better come the summer.

Totally agree. We dealt with stuff put in front of us without him. We need much better going into a Champions League campaign next year.

Even though he’s developed into more of a box to box midfielder, he’s still the best defensively minded midfielder we have. There’s absolutely no way Slavia Prague would have dealt with us as easily as they did if he was playing in those games.

Spot on, loves a tackle and breaks up opposition attacks.

Agreed, he was a huge miss in those games.

Was just about to post that. Got ran over the top of in a few bigger games this year, that having Jack in there would have gone some way to preventing.

Don't understand why some on here can't see the value of Jack in our midfield.

Neither Slavia nor St J would have bullied us if Jack had been there.

Totally underestimated by some.

The Slavia Prague games and Jack missing is one of the biggest myths of the season. What chances did Slavia create from open play over both legs? Very little!

Goal was a screamer in Prague, free kick for the second when we were down to 9 men. We were in control of the second leg after they scored the goal and the red card completely changed the game, even then we were still doing pretty decent until the Balogun error. They targeted Patterson down that right side and McGregor should have saved the opener.

Baffling how people act like Slavia dominated the whole tie and it was easy for them, the tie was still in the balance even with 10 men.

Said it then and will say again, Tav missing was far more of a problem for us, hence us not creating much over both legs and Ryan Jack wouldn't have changed that. Another case of someone being out injured and getting better the longer they are missing.

Football fans are split into two distinct groups IMO. Those that can see what players like Jack bring to a side, and idiots.

We've managed perfectly fine without him this season, we need an absolute unit to play as a defensive midfielder and we ain't gonna get it with him.

I dont think there's anyone who doesn't see what Jack can bring to the side. The problem is, we haven't really missed a step without him this season. Some might even argue we're a better side without him even if he is fit.

Who do you take out for him, Davis or Kamara?

Just because we’ve managed fine doesn’t mean it won’t be good to have him back.

I’d use him where/when required so way Gerrard does with almost all his players.
