It feels like they are assessing the ban based on the injury incurred rather than the actual offence.

Yes it was a horrendous accident, but it was an accident and there are plenty of examples of far more premeditated and malicious tackles that could have been far worse but luckily the player managed to avoid the full brunt of the impact.

What exactly does improper conduct refer to? Players not allowed to be upset about an opposition player being a fucking scumbag?

As for Roofe taking an extra suspension that’s a fucking joke, it was accidental, dealt with at the time and to label it ‘assault’ is an absolute disgrace.

They’re already appeasing Slavia on both those points so don’t hold your breath for anything other than a minimal fine from Kudela and the incident being swept under the carpet

That’s what I was wondering. Is this based on the players reaction when Kamara told them what was said or is it for the alleged trouble in the tunnel.

Cos the players reaction on the pitch wasn’t  really that bad. Seen those kind of arguments and players squaring up after bad tackles. No punches or anything were thrown

Weird charge because of the wording - there is no 'dangerous assault' in the UEFA regs. Only 'assault' or 'serious assault'.

However, reckless play is still considered assault by UEFA:

"According to the constant practice of the UEFA disciplinary bodies (as published on the UEFA website), an assault within the meaning of Article 15(1)(e) DR consists of any reckless or intentional act by means of which the opponent’s physical well-being is interfered with. Such an act would, non-exhaustively, involve aggressive contact such as slapping, head-butting, kicking, punching, elbowing, shaking, pushing, pinching or hitting."

Improper conduct refers to more than 5 cautions I think.

Textbook UEFA

It just goes to show that by doing a bit of lobbying and giving a few *ahem* backhanders you can achieve any outcome you want at that level.

A joke organisation.

If they sweep the Kudela incident under the carpet it makes our stand closures for 'racist' chanting look even more ridiculous than it already was.
