Sfa, Uefa, Fifa. Doesn’t matter. All arseholes. It’s all lip service from the bastards I’m afraid. It’s like the Covid. It’s not going away.

They'll only act when the pressure forces them to do so. It's up to all the anti racism groups to keep the pressure on them to force change.

Good point. I think they're at it too. It makes me wonder who sits on the disciplinary panels and are they really that gullible to lies.

I think the players association could do more by sending a petition to UEFA to enforce zero tolerance on racism with adequate punishments.

I think the SFA should be speaking out more for players suffering any sort of abuse.

You mean this SFA?

Hibs have been warned about future broadcasts after comments made by Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh on the club's TV channel during a live Premiership match against Rangers. The club were notified by letter that they will face no formal punishment however following an SFA investigation.

It's so sad that such a beautiful game is being ruined by corruption and abuse. The caretakers of the game are really failing in their duties.

I think people are over analysing their keeper with their limited medical expertise and limited knowledge of the injury out with what their reading on the internet. It was a fkn cracker and a right sore one and is a completely separate issue to GK and the racist. His medical team would have advised if he was ok to fly or not and he will be wearing that head protection for a long long time.

There was no fractured skull though. Cunt was on a plane within hours. We got fucking played rotten. No cunt mentioned concussion either mate if the injury was that bad.

is there any confirmation as to whether kamara's ban will count for internationals?

being selfish as fuck, it would mean that he would miss the opening 3 euro matches in june. I assume he would be back for us in time for CL opening fixtures? Thats if he doesnt win his appeal.

That and the fact that despite there being no intent to hurt their player, it was one of the worst collisions I've ever seen in football. Fuck I had my tib and fib snapped playing and that was just from a "normal" 50/50.

His ban only covers UEFA club competitions, however, Kudela will be ineligible for the next nine games played by either his club in Europe or his country.

Letter to uefa disciplinary committee

April 15th, 2021

On 15 April 2021, the Head of the KPR, Vratislav Mynář, sent a letter to the members of the UEFA Disciplinary Committee as follows:

Dear Disciplinary Board,

I would like to address you with this open letter in connection with your recent decision to punish player Ondřej Kúdela. He was punished for an alleged racist statement he should have made on 18 March 2021 during Rangers fc's match against SK Slavia Praha. According to your verdict, he can't play in the next 10 games.

There was a lot going on in that match. Sk Slavia Praha played great, crushing opponents with quality and fair play. The opponent's response was insidious fouls, one of which ended in a serious injury to goalkeeper Ondřej Kolář. He ended up with a skull fracture, and he's going to have to walk the field with a helmet for the rest of his life. After the second goal, the opponent behaved rudely, unsportsmanlike and frustrated. Czech athletes were attacked inside the stadium by the opponent after the end of the match and were not allowed into the cabins. Result? The player who crushed the opponent's skull with a football was given a four-match ban, another player received a three-match penalty for physical assault.

And the alleged racism? 10-game suspension. I would point out that racism has not been proven and alleged. Even the UEFA inspector himself erated ondřej Kúdela's racist statement. Nevertheless, you decided to punish a player who has not harmed anyone and only verbally - in his opinion - insulted his opponent. You're judging a decent man without a shoo-in. You make it impossible for an athlete to fulfill a dream in the Europa League. All this just to meet the perverse expectations of a narrow group of activists and a club unable to win on the field, all the more so by shouting empty and hurtful platitudes about racism.

In your presentation, the fight against racism has become a fight of failure against success, the height of hypocrisy, positive discrimination and embarrassing pandering to stupid trends. Your efforts may lead to the opposite, i.e. a situation in which a person of non-black colour is discriminated against, oppressed and reduced to his or her rights. I therefore also consider it necessary to oppose this procedure.

Although you may not be used to it, I would like to say one thing. I very much appreciate the fact that the Czech public does not agree with your verdict, across the whole society. On the contrary, you managed – even for a short time – to unite your ancient rivals. We will not kneel before you and there are no threats against a Czech football fan.

The President of the Republic Miloš Zeman is familiar with the situation in detail and considers it important not only from the point of view of sport, but also from the point of view of justice and human dignity. It expresses its belonging to all citizens of the Czech Republic who are following this case and are disappointed by its progress. At the same time, he wishes all players and fans not to be discouraged by the matter and continue to support their team so warmly.

Vratislav Mynář, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic

Aside from the fact that us committing some fouls is absolutely irrelevant to the main point here (racism), and is clearly just deflection, they are trying to rewrite the history of how the match went. The above quote plus countless social media posts from their fans have them pitching it like they were some Barcelona-esque dominant team and we were just fouling them from the off.

Despite ending with only 9 men we still had 50% possession, more shots and only committed 3 more fouls (21 v18).

Utter smoke and mirrors bullshit.

Exactly...I am amazed that someone with a fractured skull was able to play against Arsenal. Hope Rangers make that clear when they appeal these decisions against Roofe.

that’s maybe because as a non medical person your misinterpreting what you think a fracture skull is.

There are different types of skull fractures, including:

a simple (closed) fracture – where the skin hasn't broken and the surrounding tissue isn't damaged

compound (open) fracture – where the skin and tissue is broken and the brain is exposed

a linear fracture – where the break in the bone looks like a straight line

a depressed fracture – where part of the skull is crushed inwards

a basal fracture – a fracture to the base of the skull

Open fractures are often serious because there's a higher risk of bacterial infection if the skin is broken.

Depressed fractures can also be very serious because small pieces of bone can press inwards against the brain.

Treating skull fractures

Most skull fractures will heal by themselves, particularly if they're simple linear fractures.

The healing process can take many months, although any pain will usually disappear in around 5 to 10 days.

Totally agree there was no intent but it was really dangerous and I think due to it being a serious head injury is the reason why he got a 4 match ban but hopefully it will be reduced on appeal but I can’t see it.
If this happened to shagger then we’d all be fkn raging and not for forgiving the player. I’d still take a bit of verbal of this injury every day of the week and if anyone says any different they’re talking pish.

Does a 10 match ban act as a powerful enough deterrent to bring racism to a halt in football?  I doubt it.  I wonder if the majority of responsible decent folks in Europe would think that it is a powerful enough deterrent.   Being banned from the game - now that would be a lot more powerful as a deterrent.

Sometimes you do need a sledgehammer to crack nuts.  Racism is arguably a case in point.

If it were known that the punishment was complete removal from the game then I think the players, coaches, Boards etc would respond far more seriously to cancel the culture of racism.  As it stands a 10 match ban amounts to a form of catch and release.......release to offend again after a short holiday.    If offenders were removed from the game completely including banned from coaching or management or anything whatsoever to do with clubs and players ie entirely isolated from participating in the game then the racism problem would most likely be dramatically reduced.

Why does UEFA not do this?  Why is Rangers not pressing for that sort of sanction?  Why is the SFA silent on this?   Is it because in their worlds this is just another incident that has its time in the media spotlight and in the news cycle then as always it fades away until another incident happens.  And another.  And another.   How long before UEFA and national football authorities start to be accused of some form of supremacism for their failure to take sufficiently decisive corrective action to eliminate racism?

I think they’ll sack him and he’ll be sacked from the international team but saying that, in Scotland we have the thumb who was caught twice with racism yet he was the poster boy for our national team and separate entity fc.

Have you ever dealt with anyone with a skull fracture?

He really wouldn't be playing the following week. If doctors are worth their salt, they wouldn't allow it. Pain can subside after a week, but football,  any sport or activity that involves jumping about etc would definitely be out of the question. It was a serious head injury, not a little tap to the face.

Slavia are milking this for all it's worth with their over exaggerated lies.

You don’t need to be a medical expert to know that was a serious head injury even our doctor was on the field assisting due to the seriousness.

Exactly. No one is saying it wasn't serious...

But it wasn't a skull fracture. No chance.

You’re not a medical doctor or major trauma specialist, that is evident from your assessment.

You're becoming a right arsehole of late.

Im just saying what I think and if this keepers injury was the only incident then there would be more sympathy about the seriousness of it but with all the rest of the lies and bs it’s easy to get on the defensive and views to be distorted.
