The place of the Liverpool and Everton football clubs in the city of Liverpool is more intimate than most others enjoy anywhere else in the world, be that because of the Hillsborough disaster or really just due to the the traditional demographics of the area.

Gerrard & Carragher have never forgotten where they’re from. They both sincerely care about the people of Liverpool and regular football fans in general. It’s the same reason that Gerrard has connected with all of us so well in Glasgow.

Humble and honest men who wear their heart on their sleeve.

Tbf Carragher seems to have entirely tried to forget where he came from in terms of the club he grew up supporting

This is a good old power struggle - UEFA vs ESL.

Clubs like Rangers are losing revenue share due to the increasing demands of these ESL clubs, they need to be broken and their foreign owners driven away. That requires government legislation. We're not there yet, currently it is down to what the various FAs do.

Lots of people (including me)wanted modern football to go burst and this might be it, driven by sheer greed. Uefa and Fifa need to have a conversation about how they respond to this, as these clubs are basically saying they will decide how football will be organised in Europe. We could see domestic expulsions from thier FA's, no european or international football for the players. If Uefa and Fifa threaten that, they will kill this dead, as players will not want to give up international football, if they don't then football as we know it is over.

Let’s not discuss the intensity or lack of intensity to the the Merseyside Derby, that’s a completely different conversation

I mind sitting watching Gerrard fly into tackles against them at Goodison Park early 2000s while mixed crowdswatched on from behind him with relative indifference. Weird rivalry.

just remember, if the esl does go ahead and the clubs officially get booted from their own domestic leagues as well as all uefa official tournaments then that means they will have to farm and blood their own players, they wont be allowed to sign players from other leagues.

UEFA have their own significant issues but can win back support quickly by now ignoring the financial bullying of those teams, they have made their intentions clear. Ban all their players from the euros and kick them out the European competitions. Ditch their revised CL plans and have a proper authentic CL with automatic qualification for every European association league champions with equal division of monies.

Just saying that if they win support from the small clubs, they must stop being slaveowners like they are now. FFS, they subsidized big clubs for years. They are the judge and the executioner as well and they don't give a fuck about anyone. WTF, how can you ban a player for 10 games for racism when you are campaigning for at least 10 years: NO to RACISM. It's a slap on the wrist. If no action against Kudela , I would have said they had not enough evidence and thst's it but when you take action and it's a joke...

It's a matter of choosing between the smallest evil.

No because they will just hoover up every youngster in world football with huge paychecks.

Like they already do with the likes of Billy Gilmour etc... but on an even larger scale.

I would absolutely love it if the clubs got thrown out their leagues. Would be hilarious.

Cant see it though. I really dont know how this will play out.

Will the clubs give up their CL and EL spots in the league if allowed to stay? Does this mean teams finishing 7th, 8th etc can get into the CL?
