Popular Post We Will Follow Rangers 12,921 Posted May 2, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted May 2, 2021 Always been a huge fan of JD, was delighted when he signed, he's been terrific when called upon his 300th career goal epitomised him, he made it look so easy but it was a worldy of a goal, he's been doing that for his entire career. Saddest part of his leaving will be that we wont get a chance to give him the ovation he deserves, I hope he comes back once the crowds are allowed back to say cheerio properly. Lifting 55 will be a fantastic swansong for his time with us , no doubt he'll want more minutes on the pitch than we could give him and we cant be sentimental about it, he's on record about how proud he was to pull on our jersey and how much he's loved being here and the feelings been mutual. I love the guy and would love him in some sort of coaching capacity but we really shouldn't sign him as a player for another season. However I think we need better than Itten and Defoe. The only thing about Itten over Defoe is he does the dirty work that we have to replace when Morelos isn't playing. Like Defoe today - knew it would likely be his last great moment in football.
