Hated it and hate Chelsea.

Couldn't care less about Hamburg or Linfield either.

I appreciate the linfield thing. Like inviting us over and get that a lot of their fans support us also but I couldn't really care about them either

Only watch Rangers.

Just can't get how you can like other teams passionately.

Nothing compares to a Rangers goal.

Liking city, Chelsea etc would do fuck all for me.

Could enjoy peps barca etc but i just hate every cunt bar Rangers. Even at the Chelsea friendly I hated the daft love in.

This isn’t a thread about supporting another team.

I couldn't tell you the last 90 minutes of football I watched that wasn't a Rangers game. I dont give a fuck about it outside of Rangers. I'll sometimes watch highlights on Match of the day or Sportscene but that's about it.

The last time I watched a football kicked in the Champions League would have been our qualifiers in 2011 I think? I wouldn't watch the Champions League final if it was being played out my back door.

I don’t really get this view. Rangers are everybody’s team on here but surely you got into following Rangers by a like of football?

I can understand your thinking this way, so in order to maybe explain my views to you, I imagine that I'm a lot older than you , I began my love of football from when I was able to kick a ball in an era that I consider to be the true essence of football, when players were allowed to tackle and not fall over when the wind changed direction etc, and when both teams would have a go at one another,we got our 1st black and white tv in the mid 60's and I loved playing and watching football all the way up until recently, over the years the changes in the laws of the game have watered down my love of the game and along with the money now involved that IMO means that most teams no longer are prepared to try to win a game but because of the money involved it's more in their interest not to lose a game instead and IMO has now made the sport I loved a business and no longer entertainment.

I used to watch every game that I could but I can't really pinpoint when I started falling out of love with football but it probably started when the TV companies started fucking around with KO times, KO was always 3.00PM on a saturday, now I honestly do understand that times move on etc but now we've got to the stage when an old firm is kicking off at 4.30 on a Sunday FFS. the fact that we now have wall to wall saturation has also possibly brought with it a sense of boredom as well.

So I hope this can answer your question, to summarize yes I did start to watch football because of my love for The Rangers, but I'll only now watch a full match if it involves The Rangers.

I was the same but linfield in 2012 changed that. I enjoy the unique hamburg thing but don't really care. Fuck Chelsea.

Been watching quite a bit of Serie A this season thanks to Freesport. It's been decent and a lot more attacking than it used to be.

The standard out with the top 4 in Scotland is shockingly bad (even then Aberdeen and Hibs aren't great). Been watching some Portuguese football too but it's really predictable.

Not having fans in definitely changed the way games were played and reffed , not having those "man on" shouts from the crowd or defenders being spurred on to chase back etc was missing but the football was really decent albeit it did feel hollow without an atmosphere.

We've been terrific to watch the vast majority of the time this season but from the premiership I've enjoyed watching Leeds and Foden has also been excellent to watch, I think next season will be a fucking belter down there so lots to be excited about plus it's the Euros first then the football at the Olympics.

As much as people cant watch it unless they work streams but the leagues in France, Spain and Turkey are all really close going into the final games. Theres 2 points between Atletico, Barca and Real although Barca have played 36 (Drew 3-3 last night with Levante) whilst Atleti are at home to Sociedad tonight and Real play Granada away tomorrow. So it could be good watching going into the final 2 rounds of games. In France, Lille are 3 points ahead of PSG who are only 2 ahead of Monaco with 2 games left so anything can happen especially with the 3 teams all away from home in the final round of games. Turkey has 2 points between the big 3 with BJK and Galatasaray level and Fenerbahce 2 behind going into the last round of games. So its nice that there are still leagues to play for cause you know, we cantered to the league title 2 months ago :boyd:

I did. Used to watch Serie A and the EPL religiously.

EPL is just like an U20s or a preseason friendly game now. Fuck all to it anymore. Overly commercialised, Americanised pish. Players are mostly powderpuff fannies.

I can’t even begin to understand how someone can support a football club but not enjoy football as an actual sport

bizarre in the absolute extreme

Not really. Football has changed so much that it’s just not as enjoyable as it used to be.

I flicked between Morton v Montrose and Airdrie v Cove Rangers last night and both games were actually decent.

Wanted all 4 teams to get beat though.

I've watched more Scottish games this season than anything else, genuinely find it far more enjoyable
