Davy Vandenbroucke 26,146
Good news if true, the current pitch has been seriously poor during the winter months. BridgeIsBlue

The Hammer 11 2,575
Do we get a new pitch every season now ?
SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,798
In addition to a new pitch hopefully we can continue to make small improvements at Ibrox this summer. At a minimum there are probably still areas that could do with a fresh lick of paint or at least a power wash. graeme_4 and WeeJacksonRFC

Yes, Rangers currently lay a new pitch at the beginning of every season. I would imagine the club at this moment in time would be looking to install some-kind of hybrid pitch. (was a Hybird pitch not meant to be installed a few years ago!) I think a hybrid pitch can last for approximately 8 years. could be longer if properly maintained, Whilst i understand the initial investment would be significant, surely it would save some money in the long run. Creampuff 22,628
We had a run of home games around the time of a long period of horrific weather. Pitch was always going to struggle. Malkytfp1 and JackAlex93

Bad Robot 21,147
ok so if it’s coming up let’s us all in for Saturday as it’s probably the safer option rather than out on the street re Covid
LegendofCoop 17,273
Would love the club to sell off commemorative patches of the 55th championship winning turf off. Would be a way to partly offset the cost of a new one as well!! lewislaudrup, WeeJacksonRFC and Malkytfp1

GersInCanada 7,775
No Europa round 1 matches to be played this season which gives a bit more time to get the new pitch up to speed. Improved drainage will help minimise water retention so I hope that is part of the plan. We can always flog the existing one. I remember that being done in the past. Help with costs. The end game will be our most skillful players getting the kind of surface they can excel on.

esquire8 42,446
Going full hybrid would make a big difference but can still see us having issues in the winter simply because of the stadium position itself. Hopefully the club take up the air fan ventilation option with these guys like Liverpool done but that is some huge investment in the long term.
