One of the greatest celebration that.  I'm not really that fussed either way but Italy are going to be a tough one to get the upper hand over.  Thought they were superb the other night.

They were. Cheating bastards but superb cheating bastards.

They’ll get to the final having played only one football power.

France, Holland, Spain, Belgium, Portugal - avoided the lot and would have lost against most of them.

Incredibly favourable draw and, to be fair, great organisation could see them win it but I just hope Italian flair triumphs. Been a fan since Rossi took out Brazil and this magical moment...

You canny be putting Holland and Spain in football powers, both utter fucking pish.

France are that good they got put out off Switzerland and drew with Hungary and Portugal.

Two are out because they played one of the bigger teams. Secondly, Holland I wouldn't class as a superpower, but the red card vs Czech ruined them. One mistake can change a game completely.

France would win that tie 3-1 up against Switzerland 9 times out of 10.

Don't see why people can't just admit everything has fell into place for England at this tournament with being at home 95% of their matches, favourable draw and the big boys going out and also not being as strong as normal.

Portugal were extremely fortunate at the last Euros and people commented on it, no idea why the need to change that view all because it's England.

Thank you.

I honestly don't gee a fuck about England or any international team but to say they've only played the teams they have and they've been lucky not to play 5 other teams (despite the fact they will play Spain if both win their semis) when 4 of the teams haven't been good enough to reach the same stage as England.

You can only beat what's Infront of you. It's not England's fault they won their group and that was the route that was then laid out for them.

England like the other 3 teams are there because they've knocked sides out. All the other teams that are out the tournament have been defeated, make excuses for any of them all you want but they are all out at the end of the day.

Italy have been the most impressive side I've seen and Spain look good now as well. Both I think will beat England but if they don't and England do win it will that make it deserved as theyll have beaten a "superpower"

England cantered the group, 7 points, beat Germany deservedly so, and pumped Ukraine.

Portugal drew 3 games, finished 3rd needed extra time, and then penalties to get to the semi.

Big difference in luck.

Scotland fans should be happy if England win the tournament,

So they can bore the tits off people about how they gave the European champions a scare.

Thats the Scotland way

Pretty much every Scottish National team achievement is based off of an England failure of some sort.

It's fucking pathetic.

If England don't win the Euros this country will celebrate as if we won the fucking thing.

Scotland fans celebrate England's failures every second summer rather than looking at Denmark, Czech Rep., Switzerland or Croatia who are small countries that consistently get to the knockout rounds in tournaments. The worst thing is the SFA pretty much allow it by never actually fixing anything!

1 - You're missing the point here, two of those sides never reached the same stage as England because Portugal had to play Belgium in the last 16 and then Belgium had to Italy in the QF. If England had drawn either side they could easily be out right now.

2 - Of course but as correctly pointed out by @the goal machineyou can do well but also be very fortunate at the same time. They've only had to travel to Rome whilst others had to go to Baku etc.

3 - Nobody is making excuses, what are you talking about, people are stating facts. Just because your point about those 5 being out means England haven't been fortunate or those sides were just poor is completely inaccurate. Portugal were very unlucky against Belgium and would be in the SFs if they were in the bottom half of the draw in my view.

4 - If England win it, of course it's deserved, just like Portugal in 2016. Still won't change the fact that Portugal will go down as the worst winners of the Euro's ever because they finished third in their group and won ONE game in 90 minutes in the whole tournament. They got very lucky throughout the tournament. England haven't been as poor or lucky in their games but the draw and practically having the whole tournament at home is a clear advantage.  No idea how anyone can actually argue otherwise tbh.

England havent conceded a goal yet. They've been solid if somewhat unspectacular.

They can only beat the teams who theyve been drawn against, putting excuses up for other sides out whilst then downplaying a team getting to the semis is pretty silly tbh.

Hopefully If they get to the final they get pumped

Portugal didn't have practically every game at home, opposition teams travelling half way across Europe etc..

Ukraine were shattered, it's been the focus of the media for days.

Being drawn at home didn’t help krankie’s heroes.

Never knew Italy were playing the mighty Denmark in the SFs...

Na, just the might Spain that couldn’t beat a shite Poland, a pretty shite Sweden, or even win their group. Lucky against the Swiss with an awful red.
