As you said he probably could have stayed on his feet, but I wouldn’t expect any player in extra time of a semi final to do so. In fact I’d be fuming if he did. I always think the refs should reward that with a foul, but they never do in the box, so I don't really blame attackers for thinking "why should I give the ref a choice?". If Celtic had got that sort of pen I would be raging, but if we DIDN'T I would be raging.
