That's honestly one of the daftest posts I've seen on here, and there's a fair few to choose from, mostly by @KingKirk

There are none so blind as will not see.

Scotland - ran by taigs for taigs. Hates Rangers and its fans, hates the crown and hates unionism.

The sfa - probably all of the above, but definitely hates Rangers and its fans.

The so called tartan army - definitely all of the above.

Southgate’s done a good job. In his first tournament he took England to their best finish in 22 years and in his second their best finish in 55.

He’s blessed with a few very good full backs, but no top class central defenders or central midfielders.

Until last night he hadn’t got very much wrong.

Scored early, all over the Italians.

Then parked the bus and walked about the pitch for the rest

Grealish should have come on about 65 minutes: definite impact when he came on. Team energised a bit.

Unsure why either side is getting so irate

Scots fans bouncing about the streets here yesterday cheering and popping, what I assume was Prosecco, as if they'd won the thing!

But they have the Yorkshire Pirlo and the single most expensive defender to have ever kicked a ball.

Hiding from a penalty shootout?

So to sum up:

- if you’re Scottish and you actively support England - embarrassing

- if you’re Scottish / Irish / pretend Irish and go to George Square and set off fireworks because England lose - embarrassing

- Rashford’s stupid wee run up - embarrassing (and deserved to miss)

- Giving players racist abuse from the comfort of your anonymous Twitter handle - embarrassing

- Southgate’s negative selections, and subsequent calls to be knighted despite having an easy run of it and absolutely fucking the final - also embarrassing

Can close the thread now.

Pathetic performance from England reminded me of us in Manchester. Difference is we got there playing very defensive and would have been a big call to change that.

England didn't decide to sit in. They just couldn't the ball of the Italians from the 30 minute mark.

Southgate has the same issue as Solskjaer at Man U and he is getting himself in the same place of comfort and the place of,  you can't fuck him off because he seems sound, comes across well at times, likeable and that but you just know he doesn't have it in him when it really matters

He is winning games, a lot of games, with England,  and they are one of the stronger nations at the moment, but he isn't making them punch above weight and winning many games you wouldn't expect them to with the depth of talent they have.

They made the Semi of a World Cup, it should have been a Final

They made the Semi of the Nations league, it should have been a Final,

They made the Final of the Euros, they should have won it, they didn't adapt to a game they had a lead in and control of, that is on him and that has happened in all 3 of those games.

As an aside, I would say given the absolute shit people have lived through the last year and a bit it isn't a huge shock to see such huge emotional swings in people and the want to try and "live it up" a bit more than they probably have before...

Manager has done well and got to a semi and final. Draws were kind and could have easily won the semi and final, he didn't though. They have a great team and you think a mancini type of manager might have had them won 3 nil last night.

I know but for some reason it's made England and their fans think they are a genuinely good side. They are no better than many other second-tier international teams.

Not many have the quality they have in attacking areas. Central midfield is poor though.

No many second tier internationals get a WC semi, and Euros final
