Should he have just halved him in 2 for the booking rather than 'cheat' and pull his jersey?

Or alternatively just let him through to score

Of course he should have done it. I would have as well.

But the point is he is being praised around the world for being savvy for a blatant foul. Sorry, but that doesn't sit well with me. Cunt got skinned.

Pretty much. They'd have finally shown they have what it takes to actually win something rather than almost winning something. Top-tier teams win things. Its why Belgium aren't a top-tier team despite being top of the World rankings, it's why Netherlands aren't a top tier team despite consistently doing reasonably well. It's why Portugal aren't a top tier team. Its why Spain aren't a top tier team anymore.

Saying England are one of the top tier teams alongside teams who win things is like saying Hibs are every bit as elite as Rangers or (to a lesser degree) Celtic. They're usually there or there about but never actually manage to win the big one.

Fair enough but I don't think one game decides a top tier team or not.

One game doesn't make it. It will have been the culmination of the entire campaign and going from qualifying to winning the competition outright. One game can break it though. Without getting unexpectedly deep for me on here, getting to the very top of anything is never something achieved in one step but one mistake is all it takes to turn success into failure.

Best rated team on the planet and a team who got to the semifinals of last World Cup and final of euros,Belgium and England aren’t top tier but Argentina and Brazil (hammered by second tier Germany)are is just so much Pish. What have top tier Brazil won ? Stick to your podcasting/blogging with your tarrier pals it’s more your level than deciding who is a top tier side.

Two teams who between them won as many tournaments as Scotland in the last 50 years? Belgium who have won nothing. Ever.

Argentina have literally just won Copa America and have arguably the greatest player to ever kick a ball in their team.

Brazil won Copa America two years ago and have won five World Cups - as well as another 8 Copa Americas on top of 2019s.

Then Portugal who won the euros and have arguably the greatest player to ever kick a ball must be an elite team by your reckoning. Copa America the equivalent of our premier league with 2 horse race, give it a rest.

If Portugal had continued in the tournaments that followed, yeah, but they've got considerably worse since 2016.

Four different teams have won it the last 5 times...

Only Chile have won it twice during that period.

Brazil aren't even in the top two for past winners btw.

Actually quite mental how close they came now looking back. For all their attacking talent though that defence was always going to fuck them. Stones and Maguire are fuck all compared to the Italian back 2.

They lost 2 goals in 7 games. Defence was not the problem

I know people don't like Mcguire, the person but Stones & McGuire are as good as they come in the game. They conceded 2 goals and one was a long distance free kick.

of course the two Italians are fantastic but imo, not enough was made of Chiellini's blatant cheating foul. With Saka's speed, who's to say what the outcome would have been with the baldy cunt out of position? (I know, you can't give a red card based on it being on the wing, blah, blah)

Instead, he is being touted as a hero. He cheated and was lucky to get away with it.

As a neutral, I really enjoyed the game but I can see why the English would be frustrated with Southgate.

Na, the big man's a hero.

Breakfast TV was at its worst this morning, every channel full of handwringing cunts, horrified by the behaviour of those England fans and pushing the false narrative that other countries fans are all angels. We are in real danger of having our beautiful game turned into a passionless, sanatised spectacle, devoid of the partisan rivalries that we all love, if these  middle class fannies have their way.
