Did you just make that up? We were excellent in pre-season last year. We were keeping clean sheets and we took it into the league campaign.

Pre season friendly so little can be concluded from it. Too many squad fillers. But Gerrard wants to see them play before he decides who stays and who goes.

Working towards our starting 11 for the coming season. Today we were missing 5 or so first picks.

I think that illustrates the absolutely mental pricing of players in the big leagues more than anything.  These players are not 5, 10 or 20 times better than ours but their values are
