ayrshireranger 8,050
Derek was a brilliant young player, and IMO better and more naturally gifted than Barry. Barry of course, was a cracking player, and had the better career, as Derek sadly could not screw the nut in time to save his Rangers career. He SHOULD have the easy and natural successor to Souness and Wilkins.

onefootwillie 1,518
He was a very good player ,not as good as Barry but he should have won loads of caps for Scotland. Unfortunately ,as like a lot of Scottish young players he thought he knew more than the manager and could have been much more professional off the park . Heshootshescores 1,904
I saw a lot of them both, and Barry was a much better player. Derek on his best day could run a midfield, whereas Barry usually ran the midfield in any game he played. He found his level at Hearts.

peter huistra 1,740
Will never forget Barry's turn in Leverkusen, was like wtf just happened there ? Such a simple move but at the same time sublime. Easily one of best build ups to a goal up there with McCoists diving header at elland road when hateley dummies for Durrant and gets the pass back to set up Ally.
