The players will kneel before every game

I wouldn't even attempt to compare soldiers dieing in war with football players taking a knee my friend, quite frankly an embarrassing comparison

Idiots who boo the minutes silence for the war dead would claim that they were booing murder in Iraq.

Same as idiots here claim they are booing some political stance.

In truth, most would be booing cause they are scum.

The players/club have the right to make any gesture they see fit but I’m afraid I think less of them for using this divisive politicised gesture created by the American race industry that has sadly been imported here largely at the behest of Sky TV American owners, Comcast.  Tav may say it’s only to show a stand against racism but it’s totally naive to ignore the baggage that BLM and taking the knee has.

We, the Rangers support, have not had a racism issue since Mark Walters signed when. we saw the abhorrent treatment he received.  We have solidly backed the ‘give racism the red card’ and ‘kick it out’ campaigns, no one has an issue with these.  It’s only when this political racialised shite is brought in from USA that there is any issue.   It’s a great pity our club and players have been stupid enough to adopt gestures that cause division in the concensus we had previously.  If there is trouble in the stands because of this it’s down to them.

Finally, I won’t boo the players myself, I will try to come in late to  avoid seeing the club and players acting like the ‘useful idiots’  that they are.

Even more ridiculous that the Rangers captain has basically had to ask our own fans not to boo our players for opposing racism because there are fuckwits in our support who think footballers being paid thousands of pounds a week are supporters of 'marxism'.

i don't for one minute think that our own fans booed our players for opposing racism, nor do I really think you do either, the reason for the booing IMO was, rightly or wrongly, for the perceived support of BLM.

Sadly, again IMO, the reason for the captain of the club having to put his name to this letter is the confusion that has come from the players themselves following the reaction of UEFA's ineptitude in dealing with slavia prague when players like Goldson, Tav, Kamara etc informed the world that they would no longer take the knee as it had become in their opinion "a futile gesture" a statement almost everyone agreed with and forthwith became the norm with players not taking the knee before kickoff.

Now don't get me wrong I didn't agree with the booing before the Brighton game but I can understand the fans confusion as to why suddenly the all team were now taking the knee at Ibrox, hindsight being a wonderful thing of course, but if the club had maybe put out a statement before all the friendlies saying that after further discussion the players have now reconsidered their stance and would resume taking the knee for the upcoming season then I don't believe that any fans would have booed and it would have avoided the reaction it got.

Please don't think for one minute that I'm blaming the club in any way, but as I said above with the benefit of hindsight I believe that unpleasant scene could have been avoided.

Don’t agree with BLM as a political movement but I understand our players motivations and that’s all that matters

I'd be amazed if there were any booing tomorrow after the arguments through the week about it. If there is trouble in the stands over it its because of the ones booing.

Taking the knee is probably more effective than we think, in that we should now be able to weed out the racists as they boo during the 3 seconds that it lasts

What's wrong in that statement?   There's a massive grift going on Stateside when it comes to BLM and CRT.   The issues over there don't relate to the UK at all but they've been imported via the media, mostly social media I would argue.

Yeh and maybe next week, all the fans can take the knee and anybody that doesn’t can be weeded out as racists.

Well by all accounts it looks like your trying to import the stateside’s grift by completely ignoring what our club captain has said.

The players have continually been clear in why they kneel. Does anyone who boos the 'perceived' support of BLM think young footballers earning thousands of pounds a week are closet Marxists?
