BTW, I've been  thinking about this the past few days; how does the whole "Irish racism" and "Irish community" thing work when we're talking about Scots? 

My Mum's side are Irish Catholic immigrants, which technically makes me (half) 4th generation Irish immigrant, but I wouldn't be classed as that by anyone in Scotland because I support Rangers. My opinion on what it's like as someone of Irish descent living in Scotland would never be asked. I wouldn't even be classed as part of the "Irish community". I don't feel Irish, because I'm not. But I'm probably more Irish than a lot of their fans who claim to take offence and shout about "Irish racism". If its about racism and not football, why would my opinion matter less than someone who maybe has no Irish blood, or its just much further back, but supports celtic?

I think I've just waffled a lot of rubbish there because I'm sleeped deprived from one of the kids being sick, but I'm sure you can figure out what I'm getting at.

It would certainly go a long way to eradicate it. The majority of wrongs in the world today are forcibly learned cultures. Politics, religion, racism, borders.

I went to a catholic school, getting a great education so I have to pick apart this argument and here is why:-

Actually I cant, as much as I got a good education, all it did was stir division. The same education could be obtained from any of the state schools.

It is not like there was a different curriculum, we studied the same subjects, sat the same exams, so why did we have to be separated from other children on the basis of 'religion' for the most part.

It negatively affected not only those in the catholic school but also those in the 'prod' schools, as all it did was create an 'us and them'  division.

I think they tried it in the late 70s early 80s, by building a one for all school but (if I’m correct -happy to be put right) the priests demanded separate playtime & Lunchbreaks for each denomination, lol imagine that now school would finish at midnight.
