Helander - Injury

Seeing reports Helander has a mystery injury hopefully nothing serious, he will be massive for the Lyon game in dealing with that taig rat.

The defender has been training separately from the rest of the Sweden squad and could miss out on Wednesday's clash with Greece.

Rangers face a wait to discover if Filip Helander will be fit for this weekend's trip to face St Johnstone after he picked up an injury on international duty.

It's unclear exactly what is wrong with the centre back after he sat out of Sweden's friendly win over Uzbekistan on Sunday.

But Sweden gaffer Janne Andersson has revealed he has been training on his own and he could miss out on Wednesday's trip to face Greece on Wednesday night.

It would be a huge blow for the Scandinavian side with Helander putting in a brilliant performance in their shock win over Spain last Thursday.

anyone else saw this or got any other inside info, he’s probably the one in defence we can’t replace for this game.

We really need to sign another centre back given Helanders injury worries, we could maybe make a move for Danilo Doekhi who we were linked with in the summer on a pre contract in January, we really need another option in there as Balogun, Katic nor Simpson are the required level to step in.

Did he come off injured? Strange decision to sub a CB with just a few mins to go.

He seemed to have a bad game plus they needed a goal

Swedes on Twitter saying he was responsible for Greece's 2nd goal, played them all onside

Disappointed if he can't build on his last good performances. I hope it's nothing bad and we'll see him next to Goldson on saturday.

This start of the season is very frustrating with international break and Malmö games. Not to mention virus, fitness and injuries.
