Ex-PSG and French international (played alongside the great Marius Tresor) went in for a knee operation and they cocked up the anaesthetic, starved his brain of oxygen and sent him into a coma. That was in 1982. Wife has looked after him, knowing he would never recover, for 39 years. Tresor was too distressed to ever visit his old teammate. Therefore to end his suffering, his wife couldn’t just unplug him, she would have had to starve him to death, effectively murdering him. A horrendous position to be in.
