It's like he's reverted to how he was at the start of the 19/20 season. 

Stocky muscular powerful players like him always walk a fine line with fitness and weight and he's on the wrong side of that line right now.

We’ve been down this road before, drop points, Morelos has missed good chances and it’s a big call for him to be dropped.

Problem is every time it happens no one else steps up to the mark. Last time Roofe and Sakala led the line v Prague we were fuckin toothless. Happened numerous times over the last few years where Lafferty, Defoe, Roofe, Itten etc have been asked to step up and haven’t.

Like it or not he’s our best striker by a mile.

No chance we would get anywhere that kind of amount for Morelos. His value has declined greatly in the last year or so. Dont know what the answer is but a striker should not be missing the amount of sitters he does on a regular occasion

When he was at his best? Got 29 goals by Christmas that season and we've never seen him like that since.

Just get him back as a striker, none of this dropping deep pish, it's regressed his game, and our goals.

He's lost his edge, although I wouldn't see past him in Europe, but domestically we need more. I don't believe it's all down to him though, but the role he's being asked to play.

This is all on Gerrard and Beale , they have tried to change the kind of striker he was into something now that's toothless. Yes he now plays part of the build up but he's not there at the end of it cos they have taken that out of his game. Confidence is a big thing for strikers , his is very low right now and he missed several great chances today. The management team are tinkering too much now and we have a toothless striker because of it.

Maybe some are going overboard, but you have to admit he isn't as prolific as he was 2 years ago. He's been "over managed" to the detriment of his scoring ability. 

Was fine last year when he would drag defenders everywhere, and others would capitalise, that's not happening right now though, as too many are off form.

He isn’t, but your right no one has stood up when he’s been dropped but the adulation for him from our fans is nowhere near warranted! Roofe is better than him but has been brutal this season as well. 

It’s painful watching him finishing.

When we played Lyon he was on 143 goals and 57 assists thats 200 goals/assists in 259 games. The adulation for him is warranted, we watched utter shite from Kevin Kyle to Joey garner before he arrived and quite rightly the fans lapped him up.

He’s out of sorts but we need to stick with him.

We all know that, but play him in his proper position. He isn't a goal poacher, but he can score if he's in the box more than dropping into midfield. I don't think it's Alfredos fault, love the mad wee guy, but want the mad wee guy back, and scoring.

The run of bad games isn’t him being “out of sorts” I only care about Rangers and would be happy him to prove me wrong but it’s not going to happen IMO. He’s been dreadful for a long time now and I don’t see it improving.

Everybody knows he’s had a shit start, like last season, and even then he’s the reason we’re still in Europe. Won us a massive 3 points against Hibs, and still only a goal away from being joint top scorer. 
 

There’s a reason he starts so often, and always should be 1st choice, and that’s because no one at the club touches him in terms of ability when he’s on form

You don't need to tell me that. someone's stupid opinion to you may be a valid opinion in their head.

I would always start Alfie in a game, but sometimes, and it's happened before when he came on and scored v HIVs, he might need to sit out and try another pairing or striker up top. 

It's unfortunate no one seems to be consistently on form right now, up front or otherwise. I'm sure we'll hit a purple patch though, still top of the league that's the main thing.

Its an incredible record, especially as hes took TWO penalties for us. Had a full season under Pedro and Murty as well ffs.
