Poor performance 2nd half we don't have the right to beat anyone and on that showing we are going to struggle. Motherwells time wasting was up there with the worst I've seen we gave them that opportunity.

Why was Kelly never pulled up for kicking from hand with his standing foot outside the box everytime. We should've had at least 3 free kicks just outside box for handling outside the box.

Simpson dithering gifted them their goal, but let's be honest, they had plenty half decent chances.

This problem has been going on start of the season. All it takes is management to look back to what worked last season and what has changed.

* Playing 40 yards too deep. Motherwell defenders played a lot of the second half almost at our halfway line. We invited them onto us and they scored 

* Attacking style. Same old pish of hitting the wings and hitting crosses. Hardly anything going through the middle. When we did do (rarely) we got some joy 

* Full backs playing too deep.

* Build up play. Too slow. Retaining possession in the middle of the park with no punch.

We are not scoring from open play. Even today a set piece, albeit offside. 

Gerrard needs to earn his coin here. He's doing fuck all. He is reactive rather than proactive. Waiting for something to happen. He needs to change it. Change the midfield setup and go with one holding mid. Change the front three. Change something.

The midfield is the problem. Nothing is going to change whilst we persist with Davis and Kamara playing together. They offer absolutely nothing going forward, that break just before Motherwell equalised summed them up. Both of them immediately look backwards as soon as they receive the ball anywhere near the halfway line and Davis fires more balls back at his own goalkeeper than he does towards the opposition box.

A pathetic shambles of a second half when we had the chance to put a lot of daylight between us and the filth. Every time we play I hope it will the match when we finally click, but by the end of today's game we looked more ponderous and disjointed than ever.

What's happening, 

It's now pointless to play 2 CDMs to cover the Wing backs if the wing backs are not performing. 

Tav and Borna well off it this year, Seem to be crossing way less. Our set plays are poor- first man to many times. 

So many touches in the final third - no one wants to shoot and and have no one to head. 

Davis vacant play International football and 2 games a week for us. Looking his age this season - highlights the lack of depth for his position. 

Didn't mind the starring line up, again made to pay for not taking chances or creating that many..

Big opportunity blown here.
