The club should just be truthful though. Gerrard has spouted pish about his situation all summer.

Tbf I don't think the club have said much about it at all lately other than when asked in pressers and the reply is always the same, he's working hard to get fit.

Gerrard has fobbed the question off all summer. Pish about waiting for specialist to give go ahead for a step up in training/ more physical training.

That was at least 4 weeks ago.

I don’t actually count Jack as one of our midfielders anymore. It’s about time we just forgot about him until he’s fit enough to give us 7-8-9 games on the bounce which will probably be never. It would be good to see him back but it just isn’t going to happen on a level of consistency we need.

Glad to see Hagi back, hopefully get some minutes, likewise with Bacuna

Jack is becoming a joke now, either he's back in the next few months (fully fit before xmas) or we need to look at getting rid.

Really think Gerrard relied on him being a part of the midfield this season & its backfired, big wage sitting on the sidelines with no sign of being fit

I'n not so sure we will see many changes. Gary Mac has just explained how important winning this cup means.

Last year, we started Bassey & Zungu in the QF and we lost. Those two players and the manager took a fair bit of blame. I'm not sure Gerrard makes the same mistake twice.

That is why he should have changed it up last Sunday. Asking Davis to play 3 games in 6 days is bad man-management.

Quite like that, Tav and Borna have become reluctant to get past their man, taking the easy option and constantly cutting in, Bassey and Patterson show no such reluctance.
