Gheorghe Hagi shouting "fur fuck sake Tav" everytime his cross fails to beat the first man.

Sitting on the match day thread typing "this is the worst performance in the history of the club", 10 minutes in because it's 0-0.

Play him as a number 8.

PLZ.

Against shite it could work but against anyone decent he would be wasted covering full back positions when they go up the park.

Best off to go 4231 and let him play as a proper number 10. That’s where we will get the best of him.

I'm surprised you're not a top manager with such insight into the game...

Always been a massive fan. His footballing intelligence is outstanding. The way he reads the game, finds space and spots passes etc it’s top class. No surprise he had our highest amount of assists last season, if we want to start scoring more he needs to be starting every game.

In previous season Hagi was always capable of a bit of magic and some nice play but far to often he was anonymous and didn’t get involved in play. He seemed to shy away from the physical battles.

This season he is one of a small number of players that have actually improved and not regressed. His seasons been pretty stop start due to injuries/Covid but in the games he has played he’s been excellent.

He has battled for absolutely everything and seems to win those battles more often than not, he has added some aggression to his play.

Then on top of that his movement, creativity, crossing and indeed end product has been excellent.

Hopefully he can keep it up for the full season (and beyond!).

I'm not really sure where this idea comes from, to be honest. When our form dipped in December / January last season, he dragged us through several games, making things happen when our other creative players had no product. He definitely wasn't shying away from any physical battles then either - quite the opposite. I agree he's improving but the mantle of anonymous luxury player has never really suited him.

Hagi is still developing.Last night he was a game changer and put a shift in for the whole time he was on the park .

In the past he has floated in and out the game but when he was in he was always productive.

Another year of progression and he will be difficult to leave out playing a more central role .
