Popular Post Nemesis 277
Like many on here I've cried many tears today. This man was a giant and epitomised the greatest period of my youth following our club. Thank you for the memories Walter and may, in some small way, your family take some comfort from the outpouring of grief and love from the other family you so selflessly shared him with. southcoastbear 1,639
A man of true integrity and a near statesman like presence you will be sorely missed by all connected with our glorious club Mr Smith. I call him Mr Smith as he must surely be held in the same regard as Mr Struth in the influence he has had at Rangers. My thoughts go with his family and friends at the loss of one who was held dear by so many. Rest easy Sir, you work is done. magic8ball

The reactions from the footballing world show just how respected he was as a giant of a man. McCoist interview on talksport is very fitting.
