It must have been very emotional for his family seeing the love and support for them and the huge respect for Walter. I think you’re right mate, I was stood on the central reservation facing Ibrox when the cortège passed by, Only speculating here as obviously the family are going to be grieving but it did look like they were overwhelmed at The Love and Support that was on display today for Sir Walter going by the brief glimpse I got as they passed by. We were on the Ibrox side, and yes they must have been both moved and proud with what they saw and heard. Paisley Blue Loyal
Popular Post Colin Traive 22,459
Was out and recorded Reporting Scotland to see the coverage. Lasted a few seconds, no interviews, couldn’t move on fast enough. I know they detest us but this contempt and disrespect for a great man is beyond belief. Utterly sickening. VanVeenRangers 2,508
One of his more recent interviews talks about Mr Struth and how he followed those standards really sums Mr Smith up. A legend and I can't believe he isn't here. He'll always be the Rangers Manager to me.

Watched it and was surprised at their lack of coverage and comment Daily rhebel headline says Hundreds of Rangers fans line street as Walter Smith makes final trip to Ibrox. Popular Post Graham 3,398
Couldn't be there today as it was also my own grandpas funeral. He was a good blue nose and a hard but fair man and I have many happy memories with him due to Walter's stints with us. Both had a send off befitting of the men they were. Difficult day all round. BallochBear 1,613
Just had to go and my wife came along to show respect as she knows how much Walter meant to the Rangers family. Popular Post DrLaudrup 4,437
Just so sad. Still can’t believe he’s gone. I wish I could have been there but well done to all the Bears who were there today and gave him the honour and respect he was due. His family will have taken solace in how loved he was and I’ve not doubt they’ll be deeply moved by the outpouring of support for someone who was always a humble man. We come together in the bad times and the good. blaudrup, SteveEarle, jintybear and 6 others
