Winning the title

the the entire first choice defence is off form this season…..which is quite a feat in itself.

Keepers not stopping shots they would have last year

full backs aren’t as dynamic and cross balls are atrocious most of the time now

centre halves are struggling.

We really miss Helander.

Midfield is missing too though and there’s not much up front. Real problems all over the pitch. Add to that the fact teams know they can rattle us and it’s not looking good

Honestly, no. And it’ll be one of the biggest disgraces in our history if we don’t. It’ll take years to recover as the management team will go and the filth get £40m of champions league money in the bank.

They overtake us in titles very soon if we hand them automatic Champions League.

If they win it this season they’ll have more titles than us by the end of the decade.

I don’t think some of our fans realise the magnitude of us losing the title and this CL money.

We whipped in some great crosses last night but have nobody to put hem away and that’s been our problem all season, we simply aren’t scoring enough goals.

So far it is quite similar to big Ecks last season

everyone buzzing all summer from 55/ helicopter Sunday

Celtic having a major rebuild and having a shaky start under a new manager

beat them first old firm at Ibrox then didn’t kick a ball really for the rest of the season while they found consistency

although we done well in Europe that season

Still time for this sqaud and management to turn this around and avoid that scenario however the signs are not looking good so far.

At what point in a season do you need to accept that it's not there?

Played well for 1x45 minutes against Hearts all season and no bad against a terrible Brondby side.

It November this weekend, we aren't still in August finding our feet and trying to gel. Yet everyone is convinced that form will eventually be struck. What is the evidence for that?

I got absolutely slaughtered on here pre season and after the first few games for criticising the team. Called a Celtic fan, and worse, repeatedly for pointing out facts:

It is a season too far for Mcgregor,  Davis and Arfield (not to mention Defoe);

You don't stand still in football, failure to improve when you're at the top doesn't mean you stay at that level, it means you regress, and quickly. The quality of the new signings (bar Lundstram) is not good enough.

That same resting on their laurels applies to tactics as well. No change, no alternatives, no plan B. Regardless of the opposition or way the game is going, the only solution is replace like for like from the bench.

The team are mentally fragile, when the chips have been down, most of the time they've bottled it, Celtic serving the title on a plate last season meant it didn't have to be fought for under pressure.

I've no faith whatsoever that they'll win the league. They've peaked and they're on a rapid downward trajectory.

It's obviously just an emotional reaction to how poor we've been since the start of the season, but my gut is saying that mob will win it.

We still have the best squad in the league and we're more than capable of winning it, but it seems like neither the players or the coaching staff know how to get the best out of the squad this season. When you're 11 games in, you can't keep saying it's just a blip or a sticky spell; we're now a good squad of players but a poor team. Our biggest chance of retaining the title would be to add desperately needed first team quality in January, but most of us understand that can't happen.

That mob are banging goals in and finding form whilst we can't string a decent 90 minutes together. I dread the thought of that wee Furuhashi running at our back line.

If we don't find a midfield system that works/midfielders on form we'll continue in free fall and hand them the title

Davis/Kamara dominated teams last season, took the ball off our limited CBs which linked our defence & attack + gave the defence very good protection.

This season we seem to have decided that Lundstrum should replace Davis (fucking laughable)

Kamara looks like a player who expected a move in the summer that never came

And we don't have a 3rd midfielder capable of playing in a midfield 3 so Aribo is still shoehorned in there and it wastes his obvious talent

The fact Arfield was brought on at 60 minutes last night as the 1st sub showed how desperate we actually are

Pretty sure he already has done after they were scoring for fun. I believe we won that game 1-0

I started the season very confident of 56 and after the scum poor start we ought to have a big lead by now. We don't and that is worrying.

Difficult run of away fixtures between now and the New Year. We simply have to go on a winning run and I can see no sign of that. We dominate for long periods in matches but rarely score. We have to bring back the high press and the midfield must get the ball forward faster and drastically reduce the number of sideways/back passes.

Goldsons head is elsewhere and he is a bombscare at the back these days. I would drop him and bring in a 'B' team player. Things need freshened up.

No , not the way we're playing .

December will be the defining moment with away games to Hearts , Hibs , Aberdeen and them .

I dont actually think that's necessarily a bad thing , as we seem to lift our game for the bigger occasion , but we need to get out of that lethargy that we've embroiled ourselves in since the start of the season.

EVERY game is a big game if you want to win leagues

We look complacent (Goldson and Kamara being prime examples) and lack tempo for long periods of very game, particularly from the start.

We conceded 4 goals at Ibrox last season and have conceded 5 in 6 so far at home. Last season we pressed high and bombarded teams, this season we are too passive and look like we expect things to happen just because we're champions and better than our opponents.

If we don't rectify some simple things (tempo and attitude) starting on Sunday then we won't win the league

We have better players in most positions than the tarriers but their tempo and attitude is way better than ours at the moment

It's up to Gerrard, the coaches and the players to sort it and sort it fast

Hard to feel confident at the moment. When we arnt playing well enough to beat teams at home, we’ve scored less and conceded more than that lot

Still believe the squad we’ve got is capable of doing it but we need to put a run of wins together as of this weekend or it will slip away.

We can't keep giving teams goals of a start, it's like mentaly we are saying yeah we'll let you score and see if we can come back lol, is it really that fucking boring to play for this team? And Goldson can really get to fuck after his exploits last night, he is as weak as dish water, there's no way we should be giving him 30k a week if that's the contract on offer.

The amount of opportunities and goals we are giving teams is frightening.
