Popular Post El-Hadji Spit RFC 733
We’re all from different walks o life, how did we all end up supporting Rangers?!… My story isn’t your typical one I guess… I actually supported my local team Dunfermline Athletic as a tot, went to all the home games with my grandfather… He didn’t allow anything green in his house, which to begin with I couldn’t understand. Then a wee Rangers bank appeared on his sideboard!? The penny dropped 😉and I realised that whilst my grandfather liked to support his local team deep down he was a Rangers man! This got me intrigued and I started watching Rangers games around 1988 (10yr old), which of course was great timing!!! I guess his way was instilled into me and I never looked back. Whilst I don’t make many games, I rarely miss a game on the box 👍 My grandfather passed away some 20+ years ago but glad to say I still have that wee bank! Popular Post JM1872 3,706
It’s the old cliché but it’s true and it will be true for many others on here. There never was another team, there never was another choice. My dad supports Rangers, as did his dad before him and undoubtedly his dad before him too. My mum’s side were also Rangers, though they passed before I came along. Absolutely no chance it would have been anyone else but Rangers, and thank fuck. It was in the blood. DrLaudrup 4,565
I can’t think of a situation in my life where I had to choose who to support. If you’re born into a football family it is how it is. Basically it’s like marriage vows. Sickness and health, till death do us part it will always be Rangers. terry739 and falkirkNS

KeyserSoze 14,521
I was born into a family completely and utterly steeped in Glasgow Rangers. Spent far too many days firstly hanging about outside the cross keys, Stevenston then as a teen falling about inside it. I love Rangers as much as those cousins and uncles that started my journey for me. Garnock Blue 316
sure i've posted it before, my dad and his family were all fans of them, him and my uncle took me to celtic v spurs at hampden after they won the EC. tried to get me onboard. nah, got my pops to take me to ibrox next week to us v eintracht 5-3 friendly. rest is history and my dad god bless him worked for Rangers pools at the time and got tickets and took me and my mate to the 71 cup final and replay and stood in the Rangers end with us...dust and all. .Williamson. 82,014
Family are all Rangers. Realistically for my family and many others here it all stems from the clubs roots in Unionism/Loyalism because let’s be honest there wouldn’t be anywhere near as many fans from NI if there wasn’t those connections. It’s because of those connections and our songbook that I feel as part of Rangers as someone from Glasgow itself does. Willis 20,919
My immediate family, my dad especially, are all Bears. I was too young to even remember my first trip to Ibrox, some of my earliest memories are of being in Ibrox. I moved a lot as a child, Rangers was probably the only consistent thing in my life other than my family. If you were to ask why I support Rangers its cause I've never known anything else. Popular Post BlueboyG 5,229
My father took me to my first Rangers game in 1968, we used to go up in the supporters bus, he would lift me over the turnstile, I used to stand on empty beer cans to see game, as I got older I started going with mates, bought my first season ticket in 1986, had it since. My father is now 92 and still watches the Gers on the telly, we set it up for him every game.
