It's a huge rebuild add add katic Simpson and itten to that list in the OP Then you've got morelos Kent Aribo Kamara I think 1 or 2 of them will go as well. Popular Post SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,768
I’d keep McLaughlin as backup goalkeeper and potentially Arfield but I’ll reserve judgment till the end of the season first. The absolute vital signings in the summer (or potentially January) will be… •Goalkeeper to replace McGregor •Centre Back to replace Goldson (1st Choice RCB) •Centre Back to replace Balogun (3rd Choice CB) •Centre Midfielder to replace Davis •New Right Winger The difficulty being out of those key players leaving only Goldson has the potential to bring in some cash if he leaves this January so the board are going to have to find the investment from somewhere potentially raising season ticket prices. Then depending on who leaves out of Barisic, Morelos, Hagi, Kent, Kamara, Aribo they will also need replaced but if we lose any of those at least hey will bring in funds for us to replace them with. I think we have to avoid wasting money on more squad fillers along the lines of Bacuna, Lundstram, Zungu, Stewart, Barker etc… and promote the likes of Katic/Mayo/McClelland/King/Lowry/Middleton etc… any money we have should be focused on genuine quality to improve our first team, we need our scouting to be on point this summer. graeme_4, Soldier blue, HG5 and 4 others

Doubt our former manager would've had much influence on his decision. Am sure Gerrard said we asked him for another year cause he's that important

TartanTeddy 758
McLaughlin is a no brainer - as would another year for McGregor assuming he's interested. Outfield, Balogun is worth keeping if Goldson leaves - he's right footed and far better playing that side rather than on the left. If Goldson signs, then he could maybe be moved on to free up wages. I'd keep Davis/Arfield around as long as they're not stopping younger players coming through J-Maestro

Bristol loyal 6,248
None for me, although I wouldn’t be against Shagger staying on in some sort of coaching role if the wages were no too big. Think having someone with his mentality, who knows the club and has won leagues and cups will be valuable to youngsters and new signings.
