Nowhere near it, we’ve still got a good squad to build around even without those players cb and goalkeeper obviously need addressed though

McCrorie

Tav Patterson

Bassey Barisic

Helander Katic

Jack Kamara Lundstram Aribo Bacuna

Hagi Kent Wright Sakala

Roofe Morelos

that’s far far more than the tarriers had to work with, we really need to sign a centre back in January on a pre contract at least though.

It's a huge rebuild add add katic Simpson and itten to that list in the OP

Then you've got morelos Kent Aribo Kamara I think 1 or 2 of them will go as well.

McGregor would've signed on again for himself and he will make the same call at the end of this season again. Doubt our former manager would've had much influence on his decision.

Am sure Gerrard said we asked him for another year cause he's that important

We need a centre back in January and I’d keep Balogun and Arfield, use most of our transfer budget in summer on a quality centre back and keeper, that would pretty much give us 2 players for every position, I’d punt Katic Simpson and Itten if anyone will take them, our squads been bloated and too big tbh it was needing trimmed down

McGregor pulling off world class saves just a matter of days ago and people on here saying he's finished

He's 39, the vast majority of world class keeps have retired well by this age.

He will be 40 this time next year.

Struggling to see your point here?

McLaughlin is a no brainer - as would another year for McGregor assuming he's interested.

Outfield, Balogun is worth keeping if Goldson leaves - he's right footed and far better playing that side rather than on the left. If Goldson signs, then he could maybe be moved on to free up wages.

I'd keep Davis/Arfield around as long as they're not stopping younger players coming through

And your point is?

"Sorry Alan, we know you're still the best keeper in the league by far and pulling off world class saves with belief defying regularity, but we just think you're too old now".

Are you forgetting the ones he would have saved a few years ago to galvanise your point aye?

Name your top 3 examples then.

Start by his misjudged cross at hearts and work your way forward.

I find it amazing you are trying to switch this towards my knowledge of his errors away from your lack of it 😂

You've fucked it bud, it's ok sometimes to say you were wrong.

Not really, Peter Shilton was 48, Neville Southall was well over 40, ...

...just found a list

Van Der sar 41

Dino Zoff 41

Brad Friedal 43

Buffon 43 (still playing)

So you're saying every 3/4 million keeper who is highly thought of will be better than McGregor next year, then ignore the evidence of that statement being utter bollocks.

No that's just stupid, and I would hope our recruitment department wouldn't either.
