Potential Opponents from Champions League

Barcelona really are shite.

They still have some really talented young players in De Jong, Gavi, Pedri, Fati etc... however they are not performing due to the multiple other factors at play. They are also surrounded by some absolute dross (relative to Barca's level) like Lenglet, Dost, Braithwaite etc... Their confidence is all incredibly low and all those add up to what is a terrible team.

Not to mention they have been trying to replicate Tika-Taka with a far inferior group of players, never mind the fact that Tika-Taka as a system is outdated, it was replaced with the German style high pressing, high energy, quick interplay and counter attacking football. Xavi might have had success as a manager playing that way but it ignores the fact it was in the Qatari league where he wouldn't have come up against a style of play like that.

I honestly wouldn't be scared of them if we go into it with some semblance of our best form and a squad not decimated by the African Nations.

Course they would be heavy favorites coming in if we got them.

But they are struggling right now and vulnerable. Weakest side they've had in years.

Have a go at them and see what happens over 2 legs.

Depending on what fixtures they have either side of the games they will be focusing on getting into the top 4 to get champions league next season so they could be an ideal team to get

As @Rangers_no1 says, EL winners get a CL spot so probably Barca’s best chance to get in, given how they’re playing in la liga
