Popular Post AGM_72 4,065
They are what this club is all about. We've had a superb run from the core group of this team in Europe over the last 4 years. Chances are this might be the last season we see a few of them play for us in Europe but they've given us our most consistent spell in European football for as long as I can remember. We always look a threat and holding our own at this level in possession, something we rarely did from the early 00s onwards. Sometimes we have to suffer during matches but the team have, for the most part, seen out those difficult moments in games to seize victory. It's been a fantastic spell, helped put us back to where we belong, and I hope they see this one through. Won't be an easy game next week, despite our lead, but they've set themselves up perfectly for the run to continue a little longer. We've done in three season what they couldn't do in double that time and the idea that they pick up that £40m pot that we earned is stomach turning. Popular Post G.E.C. 19,594
Go back to Brondby away when we really struggled and were facing the Conference League. Hagi stepped up with the equaliser. Then McGregor saves us against Sparta to see us through. Looking back now, it’s wee things like that that can give us the luck to get through. Honestly if we go through it all goes down to the luck of the draw and a giant killing. Seville and Barcelona will be favourites but if we avoid them and one of them go out this round we’re in for a real chance. Popular Post Colin Traive 23,861
Guys who were journeymen pros in England like Tav, Goldson and Balogun must pinch themselves at being involved in nights like this. Never ever going to be stars at the big English big clubs, they’re enjoying football at a level most Premiership players will never experience. Goldson, especially, should bear that in mind while he’s dithering over a new contract. And how much would Gilmour have benefitted and thrived in that environment as opposed to watching the ball fly over his head and try to remember how many times his keeper has picked the ball out of his net. I hope Goldson leaves and Gilmour is a piss poor example as he will feature on the European stage for English clubs, pretty sure he already has for Chelsea

Malkytfp1 19,666
I'm a greetin faced bastard at all the negative stuff in here but had to bite my tongue when people were saying they weren't bothered about this tonight and couldn't get up for it. I genuinely believe cunts that see us in Europe wish they had what we had with atmosphere and continuously progressing against European teams with a wee bit of grit and a wee bit of determination. simplythebest 11,453
55 meant everything and the league is the all important again this season hence my frustration with us at the moment However our clear return as a European force after the wilderness years is a joy to watch BlueAvenger, shotstopper, AlbertzLoyalRSC and 1 other
