Popular Post RockwellGers 15,220
Positive performances from both today, great to see. Hopefully they build on that. Enjoyed both of these reactions and hearing them speak. I chucked in Gio's reaction to complete the set. Didn't mention him in the thread title though, sorry big man. goaaaal, roboscot, Bears r us and 4 others

Popular Post mitre_mouldmaster 21,511
Think Sands done okay, but think there is an element of overhype with him after yesterday. He was neat and tidy, but was a defensive midfielder against a team who were doing absolutely no attacking. I think if it had been a Kamara or Lundstrum doing the same things, it would have went under the radar and no-one would have been saying they were the best player on the park. Tav was miles ahead of him yesterday for performance yesterday IMO. Still he did well, and hopefully will kick on. Not a first pick for me yet, but he will be on the fringes and hopefully has a big contribution to make. Ramsay was mostly off the pace, but can certainly see there is a player there. Hopefully he will start to sharpen up and make a huge impact for us in the run in. JCDBigBear, Bobby Hume, Jamie0202 and 5 others

Popular Post SeparateEntityMyArse 55,270
With a squad taking their chances when given a start we have more chance of winning this league and cups. I thought Ramsay did fine yesterday, more so in glimpses than dominating play. Quality, but obviously needs sharpness and stamina. Sands was very good, strong but simple destroying their plays and recycling the ball. Good on them both, and young Lowry for his assist, Sakala scoring, Helander returning and also looking strong. As long as Kent isn't injured its been a very positive weekend. TopCat, HG5, Darth Bear and 2 others
Popular Post McEwan's Lager 32,003
Sands was a bit like Edu on his good days yesterday. I know that is a bit of a lazy comparison because of their nationality but he broke up play well, he looks quite strong and athletic, and played simple balls. What I like about that is it frees Jack up to be a bit more adventurous. He's a better player when he is allowed to go box to box rather than sitting. We've got a lot of different options in midfield now - it's all about Gio finding which balance works for each opponent. GersInCanada 7,775
I feel that Sands like Sakala will be big squad members for the rest of the season. Rarely starting but obvious choices from the bench. Both can kick on next season and become first picks. TopCat
RWB72 1,561
It can take a while for some players to get used to the league, I think it just clicked for Sands yesterday hopefully kicks on from here HG5

We're two up and there were issues in midfield with Lundstram at centre half. I think Sands could be an option to help close out games. Don’t think either will be first picks but knowing you’ve got guys who can come in and do a job. Or like Sakala provide 10-15 goals a season from the bench are important. LegendofCoop 18,062
Only saw the last half hour, but I did see Sands make some great tackles, and he had some neat touches. But still, it was Dundee! HG5

Jimfanciesthedude 25,542
Sands composure at picking passes and his positional sense is fantastic at times, tonight he came on and needed absolutely no time to get up to speed with the game, No doubt the 18mth loan was to give him time to adjust and settle over here then plenty time to show his worth, he's doing that a lot quicker and wouldnt be surprised if the club make it a permanent deal a lot quicker than the 18mth loan deal duration Jelavic191

I hardly saw him tonight. I do like it that Gio trusts him. We are going to need to depend on the bench in the coming weeks. WilliamMunny 3,482
Still early days with Sands and Ramsey, can't really judge them so far. Need more game time and think Sunday would be a good opportunity again. We should have more than enough to win the game even with a few changes. Would also start Roofe as some of our main players are absolutely knackered.
